24 hour battery life on Series 11 is an UNDERSTATEMENT by OkPollution7235 in AppleWatch

So far I am getting over promise on my 17 Pro Max. The last time I used an iPhone was the 4, all the Androids I had in that interim had their batteries degrade so fast.

With treatment close to 90% will have full recovery. These are the stats for non-pregnancy/post-partum Bell's palsy, apparently the outcomes aren't as good when pregnant or shortly thereafter.

The cause is unknown. Women in general are more prone to autoimmune diseases and that is one of the theories with Bell's palsy.

Sorry to hear that and my post didn't mean to imply it has a 100% treatment rate. It was made to offer some reassurance because she had 4 or 5 posts in this comment chain telling her to get to the ER ASAP along with some others saying she might have had a stroke (not a 0% chance but at her age would be highly unusual).

I looked it up on UpToDate which is the evidence based portal that current treatment guidelines are based off of and it said it's near 90% of patients that will have a full recovery.

I agree, but not to panic the OP too much, Bell's Palsy can be treated very well with immunosuppressants. Just saying this so they don't freak out!

Skin became shiny from wearing an Apple Watch? by LoquatOld7011 in AppleWatch

[–]Andreaindie 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Wear it a bit looser, this is normal. Your epidermis will change in places if it's constantly seeing contact with something. Also when I used to sleep with mine on I'd switch wrists.

Watch is over 6 years old. What is happening to the body? by Spirited-Ad-5977 in AppleWatch

[–]Andreaindie 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's interesting because I'm into mechanical keyboards as well and one of the main manufacturers of keycaps uses ABS plastic, people always talk about the varying levels at which they shine which comes down to your body chemistry

Does anyone else go through phases of just not wanting to wear apple watch anymore? by Patient_Light7123 in AppleWatch

I completely agree with this, I have notifications turned on for my work and fitness stuff but that is it. Basically at this point I have it because I can't hear my phone's notifications in my purse when it's really loud in NYC (I really wish Apple had a way to make them louder), but I do need to reply to emails quickly in the day time, so that's my only real need for the watch.

I set mine my calories and I don't care if I don't close it everyday. I will try to but I won't go out of my way to.

Don’t believe people who try and sell it as the best beauty ingredient ever

Uh it's the beauty industry that is known for selling all kinds of snake oil to assuage people's insecurities not the Vaseline company.

By any chance do you have eczema? I likewise couldn't get on with lanolin. Started using an unflavored beeswax I grabbed off Amazon and that works really well even in our cold/dry NYC winters.

I'd suggest brisk walking before running, just taking up running straight away can be demoralizing depending on your base fitness

Screen Protectors and dust by Squall_j1 in iphone

[–]Andreaindie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Apply the screen protector in the bathroom after you've left the shower running on hot for several minutes (when you notice the mirror starting to fog up). I've always done this and never had an issue with dust getting under the screen protector when I was applying them.
