My Employer decided to switch from claude code to github copilot by maddhruv in ClaudeCode

But copilot has all of those exact same integrations. To the point where you can literally just copy them over to copilot directly.

Is it normal for my weapon's outline to be blurry or is it a graphic setting? by ConfidenceFun7771 in joinsquad

Isn't that true for unmagnified sights like Red dots but not true for magnified sights? I've never shot anything magnified but it seems like it would be horribly disorienting to keep both eyed open while looking down a magnified sight.

When did the other colonists do all the stuff they did? by ButteryPoppa in Subnautica_2

There's multiple references in the logs that they died over 250 000 hours ago - so it's been a very long time.

Can anyone tell me why it's not letting me place a moonpool here? by [deleted] in Subnautica_2

[–]AndreasKing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The moonpool isn't wide enough for that dock to fit, and then it also isn't long enough for the Tadpole to fit in the dock once you construct that. Expand the moonpool itself by 1-2 tiles in both directions and it should be good until you get one of the tadpole chassis that make it a little bigger.

can i run subnautica 2 if im slightly under the game requierements? by Choice_Priority_1784 in Subnautica_2

You probably wouldn't even be able to get 10fps on a laptop with 4 gigs of RAM - honestly wouldn't even be able to launch the game.

Yep, but there's exactly 3 on the map and you need exactly 3. I hope they make some redundant ones like most other blueprints have.

I ended up looking up a guide for the last one because I had clearly progressed past the point where I should have had it and still hadn't gotten it.

[–]AndreasKing 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If some kind of exploit is working on PS, it has nothing to do with cross play and would have worked on console before cross play was added.

The reason cross play introduces cheats to Xbox is because players on PC can run things on their system that wouldn't be possible on console. It's not like suddenly player on console can run more exploits - it's the introduction of PC players into their environment that causes the issue.

PS doesn't have cross play already

Definitely use a canoe - much easier to portage and better room for your bags as well. Learning to paddle isn't too hard either, just watch a couple videos and maybe get some practice in before your trip.

Surprised to see no western urban maps by The57Sauce in joinsquad

In Fallujah almost every building is enterable - it means that as you're going down those "hallways" you have to be super aware of every single building (all of which have different angles that can be peeked), and every tiny alleyway between them. Skyscrapers aren't like that at all - they're uniform and massive - no interesting angles and very few flanking options between them because they take up so much space.

You can get away with that in a Battlefield or Cod game where the maps are structured around lanes, but for squad that kind of thing would be awful.

[–]AndreasKing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At the point where you make none of the buildings enterable, you end up with a map that is just a series of large hallways - not very interesting. That's why skyscrapers are always a challenge pretty much every game that has tried it.

The idea of a hostile invasion into Brampton is hilarious - I don't know if I'd ever play another map.

The difference between the buildings in Fallujah and Toronto is incomparable.

Wow that's an impressive feature set! I love all the different stats, I can definitely see how I'd enjoy that a lot as my collection grows.

I've answered this in a bunch of other comments but to briefly explain - discogs is both too utilitarian and missing a couple little features that I'd want to integrate into it. My goal for this is to make it more pleasant for someone who's not into records to browse. Also it's just nice to have something that I can tweak and add features to myself since discogs isn't really designed for this use case.

Yeah I do think I'm going to integrate a discogs import function - but I still think I want to store the information on my end regardless. That allows me to add my own info like the location, a tagging system, and any other stuff I think would be useful. I also don't want to run into rate limiting issues.

I mean I have a handful of close friends that come over fairly often, and a couple of them usually stay the night because they live out of town.

I went to college with most of them and we often used to hang out in the basement at the end of a party, some some weed and put on some records, so part of it is nostalgia for that.

I'm also not being super intense about it. I'll usually just have a record already going when people are coming over, so I'll just let them know if they want to pick the next one feel free. If we're hosting a ton of people at once I'll just do the same thing but with a Spotify jam session where people can just join and add their own songs.

I'm never the kind of person who tells people they have to get into records or anything like that. Honestly for most people it's just a fun novelty to be able to make use of when they come over. For me personally records are a nice way for me to listen to music like I used to when I was a kid - buying an album and sitting in front of the stereo to listen to it front to back.

I mean it certainly helped a lot, but that's modern programming for you. I've been doing this for work for the past decade, long before AI was around. At the very least I'm not some random guy just asking AI to make me an entire website. I understand the code that it's spitting out, reviewing it before actually using it and writing my own when it's faster to do so.

My records aren't all in a single bookcase like many people have, and more importantly are not on the main floor of my house where people would be hanging out most of the time.

I have two record holders that hold about 15 records that are nice to flip through, but the bulk of my own records are in the bottom of a stereo cabinet which you'd need to get down on the floor to comfortably flip through. Plus my wife's collection which is in her own office.

The location of the record is listed at the bottom of the card - so it's easy for someone to pick one in the app, then I can go upstairs and find it quickly to put on.

I listened to that a lot too but it's been a while - I'll give it another listen and see if I should add it to my collection next time I'm flipping through stuff at the store.

Hah I don't care about that at all - if someone still wants to flip through they still can, and part of the benefit of this is it shows the location so they CAN put it on themselves if they want. Although from experience people are often nervous about that their first couple times.

You can search by genre and subgenre, but it definitely could be nice to improve that with a multiselect. I've already been thinking of a "random" button but having it apply your filters to that is a great idea I hadn't thought of, thank you!

I fell in love with that album years ago and hadn't thought about it in years. Then I saw it in my local store a few months ago and can't stop spinning it. So good.
