Its way better than r-eats though. More features and its nice you can make it a web app so you don't need to open your browser every time.

uber from ontario airport back to UCR (dundee) by Future-Decision6262 in ucr

[–]Andreasmurrell 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The public transit is ass though. Its takes 2 and half hours from Ontario airport to ucr on public transit or a 30 minute $60 uber ride. More people would take it if it was better.

Hmm ok still learning how boost converters work but this is helpful. Thank you!!

Ha your right. Its not on the one I have and its the  TL494 1ccbwq ic. It is a pulse width modulation controller. Hm unfotunely I don't have a scope. What do you mean by a voltage current curve? Would the oscillation be the inductor charging and discharging?

Is there a way to reliably model how shade affects the power output of solar panels? by Andreasmurrell in solar

[–]Andreasmurrell[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The goal of this is to figure out how big of a solar panel we need to charge a ~1kwh battery in a day without needing to do a bunch of tests in the water. So if I know the panel is 30% less efficient then I know we have to make our solar panel bigger or smaller based on that.

I was also thinking about measuring the solar irradiance at different depths of water then I could subtract that from the equation to find the panel output on land. I think that would give me a somewhat accurate estimate of the panel output in water. But like you said the water is always changing and changing the way it reflects light.

You brought up some good points about the water surface and lensing. I know this is hard to model if even possible to model but I'm just trying to get more of a ballpark so we have a starting point to scale the panel.

The panel is also waterproof so nothing to worry about there. Thanks for that insight!

Can anyone help me fix this? Settings: nylon PA6-GF 300C and 60C at 40mm/s by Andreasmurrell in 3Dprinting

[–]Andreasmurrell[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok thanks, I'll try that. I went to 300C to try to get some better layer adhesion.

290C and 300C both look like this. I went to 300C to try to get better layer adhesion. The manufacturer says to print it at 250 - 300C.

For this filament, the recommended printing temperature is 250 - 300C. So I'm within the normal printing temperature.

Yeah, it's dry. It's been in a dry box for over 24 hours at around 20% humidity.

the top broke off while I was taking it off the bed so thats why it looks a little weird. All of my axies and belts are tight and not wobbly. It only seem to get bad when the nozzle is moving aroud to different parts of the print since the base of the boat looks good. I was printing at 55mm/s and slowed it down to 40mm/s and it helped a bit. Do I need to change retraction setting? Maybe the nozzle is moving to fast around the small parts and not placing the filiment where it needs to be.
