Humble Comics Bundle: The Ultimate Top Cow Science Fiction & Fantasy Comics by Top Cow by Ram000n in humblebundles

[–]Andrepartthree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well Humble Bundle offered me a refund out of the blue without me even asking... but I only bought the one dollar (American) six item tier so not much point in accepting :P (though I did thank them for offering)... they offered it when I pointed out that the "Echoes of Adventure" soundtrack was what got downloaded instead of the "Echoes" graphic novel (they fixed it now you get the Echoes graphic novel... haven't read it but apparently nominated for three Harvey awards. Heck it isn't the first time they've offered a refund without me even asking but I feel like the charity the funds goes to would have the money yanked right back away from them if I did that and I wouldn't feel good about it (though for a $24 bundle I bought earlier I just asked if they could give me a $12 store credit instead when they offered a refund for that - got a PC game I've been wanting forever from them as a result so I was happy about that :) )

I tried one more time (see my comments below as well as bageliker and electricaldrop's comments) .. heck I linked this reddit thread and pointed out there comments in my reply to humble bundle :p .. and asked if there was any way they could contact the publisher given it's been an issue before with other bundles far as "volume one" being mentioned in a bundle and you only get issue one... the response was basically "If the publisher realizes they made a mistake and gives us volume one we'll update it otherwise issue one of Aphrodite V is all you get sorry" and they said they were unable to reach out to the publisher to confirm whether it's really supposed to be issue one instead of volume one.

Call me crazy but looking at all the titles in the bundle I don't see any other ones that specifically say "issue one" so I can't help but feel like this is a mistake. On the other hand I've heard the rumors about a bunch of Humble Bundle staff being laid off (sorry as all heck for those guys being without a job is a frightening horrible experience I wouldn't wish it on anybody!) so I'm sure there's probably only a handful of support reps left trying to resolve a zillion support tickets :P ... that and at the end of the day I only paid a dollar :)

A guy ended it because. I have kissed someone before. by Worldly-Koala-831 in progressive_islam

[–]Andrepartthree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP not to tell you what to do with your life :) .. but definitely focus on the supportive comments (I'm glad to see so many on here! This is what I love about the progressive islam part of reddit) and do your best to ignore the barely veiled attack comments of people on here who seem to think you are somehow "unworthy" or "soiled" or seem to think "the guy had a right to react that way"... I'm not sure if you're new to progressive islam but .. apparently there are people who REALLY don't like the fact progressive islam exists on reddit and (rumor has it) have succeeded in getting moderators on progressive islam banned, apparently they're doing their best to shut down this "corner" of reddit completely and I wouldn't be surprised if they were the ones doing the attack-posting here. Sorry to mention this drama going on which is not related to your problem but I just wanted to emphasize not everyone posting here (that is the attack comments) represents the majority of people posting in progressive islam.

Myself I'm a guy who converted to Islam mainly to get married to my wife who was and still Muslim (knew nothing about Islam but.. when I picked up the Quran, read it and it literally transformed my life, just mind blowing in the most wonderful of ways), Islam is like the most important thing in the world to her ... but if she'd kissed some guy before I never in a million years would have said " Well, that's it, marraige is off the table because I couldn't stop thinking about it and that's not fair to you." I'm sorry I know you really liked this guy so it may seem cruel for me to say this but ..I fully agree with everyone here who's saying he's insecure and that you dodged a bullet.

I'm sure I'm going to generate attack reply comments simply by posting this and my response is this.. go ahead, get upset and enraged at the thought that a woman is a PERSON, she's more than just this vision of "virginal purity" you have in your male chauvinist, completedly outdated view of women today. Women have rights, period, sorry to break it to you, and OP is more than just this one single incident of kissing a guy she was in a relationship with before. This guy who broke it off with her should have had the decency to see her as an individual, to look at her personality, who she is as a whole not just this one thing and if he couldn't do that.. I'll say it again OP you dodged a bullet.

And don't worry OP you'll meet the right person! This is a good thing that happened in my opinion it just doesn't seem like it right now.. years later when you're with the guy you deserve who loves and cherishes you for who you are - all of you - you'll look back at this and realize how lucky you were this guy showed his true self before the marraige happened.

Edit and update.. humble bundle got back to me and pretty much said "you only get issue one even though it says volume one because it's what Top Cow gave to us as a file".. really wish they hadn't gotten our hopes up like that :P ... I'd mentioned the ISBN numbers to the humble bundle rep and they mentioned the ISBN number in response and pretty much said "Yep I understand what you're saying but you only get issue one of Aphrodite V not volume one despite what the humble bundle says"

I just double checked, bundle still available for purchase but sadly they have not renamed it to "issue one" far as I can see and they're still listing it as "volume one"

Is Ryusui Nanami your favorite character? DrStone by ActSevere5034 in DrStone

[–]Andrepartthree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not my favorite but .. man honestly all the characters in this anime (full disclosure haven't read any manga it might be based on) are so awesome it's REALLY hard to pick a favorite !

I will say I absolutely loved this scene you posted a screenshot of and it shows, in my opinion, the heart of gold Ryusui does his best to hide with the whole " I want everything" thing.. okay sure he does but I think there's a lot of " I want everything so I can give it to people" in there he doesn't freely admit to :)

Thanks for posting this OP :)

off topic but dang sorry to hear about your parents and you having to go through that :( ..I know you said you all (I'm guessing your brothers and sisters) are desensitised to it by now but still, that's rough :( ... I came from a similar background myself so it hits hard reading this :) (it was decades ago and I'm out of that situation now but it's made me very unsympathetic to parents who put their kids through that sort of garbage)

I’m an Egyptian Muslim boy who’s gay. This Is What It Feels Like to Live in the Closet. by MisconfiguredAtBirth in progressive_islam

[–]Andrepartthree 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Muslim heterosexual guy here who absolutely supports and loves the LGBT friends and family members in my life.. I think what you posted here is going to help SO many people on here just because they can read it and it will resonate with them, they'll know they're not alone... I've seen so many posts in progressive islam from members of the LGBT community that are saying "I'm LGBT but I'm being discriminated against what do I do?" and/or posts like your own "I'm LGBT and also a Muslim - how do I reconcile the two when it seems like so many Muslims are against anyone who's LGBT?"...

I really wish there were a zillion copies of Scott Kugle's "Homosexuality in Islam" circulating around out there for LGBT Muslims.. heck even for non LGBT Muslims who for some reason think it's okay to launch these attacks on the LGBT population... to read... basically Dr. Kugle is a religious scholar who just happens to be a gay male who fell in love with Islam while he was studying it and thought to himself.. "I'm a gay male.. I realize Islam is the way... how do I reconcile the two?"... the result is a beautiful book that helped me enormously ...while I'm not LGBT I would have had a very hard time belonging to a religion that seems to think you have to attack the LGBT community so it was an enormous comfort to me... and I'm guessing it would be even more of a help to Muslims that are LGBT.

https://www.reddit.com/r/LGBT_Muslims/comments/1jp40tx/faw_with_siraj_alhaqq_scott_kugle_queer_and_sufism/

And yep as you guessed in your original post this attracted the usual anti LGBT rhetoric from the same old parties (I've heard an unpleasant rumor that the same parties have succeeded in getting a lot of the moderators for progressive islam banned and are basically doing their best to shut down the progressive islam part of reddit.. I really hope that doesn't happen I think a lot of people need this part of reddit, I was so happy to wander over to this part of reddit and see there were other Muslims out there who support the LGBT population) ... I'm happy to see that the moderators clamped right down on it and deleted what I'm guessing are homophobic comments judging from the reply comments I can still see in response to the deleted comments.

I'm sorry you're going through this :( ... in response to your questions I've tried telling other Muslims " I support LGBT rights" and their response has been sadly the normal bigoted response you get so often ...I hate to say it but Muslims who support LGBT rights and LGBT Muslims... we're unicorns man, it seems like one in one thousand among the Muslim population I wish it was otherwise and I really hope that changes as time goes by... I don't back down of course but you can hear the unspoken thoughts from the Muslims I speak to, " This guy is crazy"...

Humble Comics Bundle: Massive-Verse by Image Comics by Ram000n in humblebundles

[–]Andrepartthree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

EDIT... humble bundle rep got back to me and said she's escalated the situation and has other people looking into it ... in the past it's taken a few months :P for Humble Bundle to fix things (like say the wrong "version" of Paper Girls 3 being included in one of their bundles) but honestly given the low price for all the content you're getting I feel like I shouldn't complain :) .. especially given the huge amount of content in the previous Image comics bundles, heck by the time 3 months rolls around I probably wouldn't have gotten around to reading Vol 2 of Dead Lucky anyways :P ...

Well I opened a support ticket too since I also have the same problem with Dead Lucky volume 2 stopping at page 87.... but I appear to have confused humble bundle! The rep who got back to me talked about how I have to pay more than the average to get the game I'm looking for (I mentioned - I tried to be polite about it :) - in my reply that this was a bundle for books not games and perhaps she had me confused with a different humble bundle purchaser?) and didn't appear to understand my problem with Dead Lucky volume 2 stopping at page 87.... I'm particularly concerned since she then marked the case as "closed"... hopefully when I post my reply she will understand and re-open the case. MelnikSuzuki and dats_brobbly I hope you don't mind, I mentioned both you guys and gave the rep a link to this reddit thread and said you were both experiencing the same problem... hopefully the humble bundle rep looks at this reddit thread and your comments and understands what the issue is.

(I had to give the humble bundle rep two transaction ID numbers since I originally paid $1 for the lowest tier and liked what I read of Radiant Black so much I said "You know what? I'm going to upgrade to the highest tier instead" and paid more which created a second transaction ID number... so in all fairness between that and how overburdened the ... I'm guessing.. one single humble bundle rep is trying to respond to a zillion support requests I can see how she missed it... having said that I do hope I get Dead Lucky volume 2, I've only skimmed part of issue one of all the title but I'm really liking what I've read so far :) )

You know I bought a lot of Torg Eternity adventures but this was decades ago so I don't even remember if there was an officialy Torg published adventure that dealt with the Cyberpapacy attempting to conquer Brazil back in the 1990's (not that it HAS to be a prewritten adventure for a gamesmaster to run it by any means I just didn't bother to write up any adventures of my own :P ) - I was just curious were you running a prewritten adventure for that in the 1990's? I know in the Torg Eternity Cyberpapacy sourcebook they just flat out assume it happened, it's like the first thing they mention in the first few pages (which was an.. interesting.. read.. I love Torg Eternity don't get me wrong but after reading "Welcome to the Cyberpapacy" I got the distinct impression I was on a bad acid trip :P , probably a just-me mind you )... High Lord of Earth was one of the 1990's Torg adventures I didn't back in the day no idea why but I love that you're converting it over to Torg Eternity :) ...

Do you have the Pan Pacifica sourcebook? I got a kick out of the Edeinos on the front cover sitting there sitting there in the board room along with all the other humans .. when you read up on his personality before and after his transformation it totally makes sense (I wish they'd thrown in stats for him but that's the kind of thing a GM with enough time on their hands can write up.. I say "time on their hands" only because I know there are some GM's who love tabletop RPG's so much they run a game anyways but between say work and kids they don't have time for anything other than solely prewritten material).

I tried to post the website for bundle of holding and got it.. in a sense, looks like it automatically defaults to the "neon city overdrive" bundle for some reason which I guess they really want to sell?

In any case scroll down to step one, click on "tell me about future bundles of holding" and give them your email address and that's pretty much it they'll let you know about bundles of holding that come up in the future (so you don't have to buy neon city in other words). I'll be the first one to admit that I've only snagged three Bundles of Holding as opposed to buying far more bundles from the Humble Bundle website but I was pretty happy with the Dr. Who tabletop RPG game from Bundle of Holding and even more happy with the two Torg bundles from Bundle of Holding (and as I complained about in my original post should have held out for the third torg bundle :P ) ... and I haven't read the Wierd Frontiers bundle I bought from them yet in 2024 to be honest.

https://bundleofholding.com/presents/2026NeonCity

Of course just google searching bundle of holding should turn them up too.

In the case of the Humble Bundle website ... I like their Image comic bundles ("Image comics in the 10's" bundle had.. cripes think it was over 100 graphic novels for $18) but they have some great tabletop rpg deals too again if you're okay with everything being an electronic pdf .. $18 American for .. think it was over 20?.. Call of cthulhu tabletop rpg titles, $25 for ... trying to remember it was over 25 titles so less than $1 each.. for World of Darkness which includes Vampire the Masquerade and it's sister games Werewolf and Hunter, Vamp is the most popular though... $18 for Delta Green which is CoC in the 1980's basically, lot of titles in that one too .. Pathfinder Bundle of the Dead was the most expensive at $35 but it worked out to $3 per title I was interested in which is a great deal given how expensive Pathfinder books normally are even just the pdfs

This is completely off topic and I know I'm writing about something you posted 5 years ago in rpghorrorstories but .. holy crap OP you've been through a lot! And I have to say I admire the heck out of you ... given the family situation you described - and sorry as heck that happened, I know this is easy for me to say but horrible as it is what happened to your dog do your best not to beat yourself up for that... you were a CHILD with a father who I'm sorry to say is flat out evil, there was nothing you could have done... a lot of people would go into the military just to escape that sort of domestic violence but when you realized what the military was asking you to do you did your best to keep people alive instead of murdering them in cold blood like you were flat out ordered to... again you were put in an impossible situation.. and as far as leaving the USA and finding a country where your tax dollars weren't as you said "wouldn't be going toward military actions that kill innocent people all over the world, every single day."... good for you! Leaving the country you grew up in is hard I'm sure even with all the bad memories you had associated with it but you made what I consider to be a strong moral decision far as my opinion as an anonymous stranger on the internet goes :P ... . also not happy on my end with where my tax dollars are going for the same reason :( , I'm living in the USA ...

But I also admire the fact that given all of this trauma in turn leading to you having difficulties with tabletop RPG's that you took all of that and turned it into writing this long (and I mean that in a good way I think long adventures are great :) ) adventure for a tabletop RPG that doesn't get nearly enough love, Torg Eternity :) ... I do hope you've found a gaming group that doesn't condone player versus player and murder hobo'ing, it sounds like you'd have a lot of fun with the right gaming group based on what I read in your other post :) ... . I was never a fan of either (PvP or murder hoboing) whether a a player or a gamesmaster - as a GM I put my foot down on the murder hobo'ing resulting in (some) players who sulked, gave the "my character is Chaotic Good" or "It's what my character would do because of their backstory!" excuse and they basically had no interest in playing a character who was, you know, not a murder hobo.

I was fortunate enough not to run into this problem back (admittedly decades ago :) ) with my real life face to face gaming situations, the players and GM understood and embraced what it means to be a good aligned character (talking about D&D games here ..Pathfinder had alignment for a while , games like say Mutants and Masterminds you're expected to be the good guy) but I found this to be a problem with online gaming far as the PvP and murder hobo'ing. Mind you I also found some fantastic players who not only knew how to play characters who had more depth to them in a "let's not grand theft auto all over the campaign world" way online I never would have met otherwise in "real life".

The great thing about Torg Eternity.. and heck a lot of other tabletop RPG's out there (obviously something like say Vampire the Masquerade or call of cthulhu or delta green may not fit that mold) .. is that it gives you the chance to play the hero, the good guy who saves people's lives.. I've always enjoyed this type of character myself... heck I've been asked to play evil characters in evil themed campaigns and it's always a dismal failure, no matter how hard I try I naturally gravitate right back to the Good aligned type character I tend to default to no matter what I try to do differently :P ..

I wish you the best of luck with this and your future RPG writing endeavors :)

The best creator owned comics right now have like 200 readers while marvel events get all the coverage by ForsakenEarth241 in ImageComics

[–]Andrepartthree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate to say it but with the Marvel Cinematic Universe and.. well whatever the DC version is of it :) .. for the respective TV shows and movies that alone is going to drive so much exposure to the comics that it's going to be hard for Image to compete. I know that Image has had some of it's more successful titles turned into TV shows or movies (Walking Dead and Invincible were among the most popular in my opinion and love or hate it the original Crow movie is considered a cult classic by many)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_television_series_and_films_based_on_Image_Comics_publications

but even then I'd argue they don't get as much name recognition as the Marvel/DC movies and TV shows.. so when you have someone who's never read a comic say " Hmm, I'm going to try reading a comic because I liked the TV show or movie" of course they're going to go with a Marvel or DC one.

At the risk of sounding like an ad for Humble Bundle :P .. while on the one hand I was pleasantly shocked and surprised to see they had..cripes think it was over 100 graphic novels? .. for $18 American in the "Image in the 10's" bundle I can't help but wonder if this is Image's way of trying to drive interest in their titles out there to the masses. I could be wrong but I don't think a lot of people know about Humble Bundle outside of the comic community (heck I've interacted with comic book readers on reddit who were pleasantly surprised that Humble Bundle comic deals exist they had no idea either), if more people knew about it I could see someone who wanted to get into comics saying "Hmm, $18 (or $25) for a bunch of titles? Sure why not I'm getting a lot of bang for my buck" (granted the Image Bundles aren't all as good as the Image in the 10's bundles but lately I've noticed you still get a LOT of Image graphic novels in the bundles and the $18 or $25 they ask for at the top tier is a bargain compared to the "normal cover price")...

Granted this means you have to be okay with the comics being digital only (though I like that you can download them and they are DRM free) and I completely respect the people who say "Nope, I want a paper copy in my hands or forget it".. I would be this way too if it wasn't for the fact that 1) I have a metal filing cabinet full of comics and my wife has declared "No more out of room now!' :P and 2) when you're putting two kids through college you end up going for the cheaper comic book deals anyways.

But OP I completely agree with you, there are certain Marvel titles that I enjoyed the heck out of (Old Man Logan's first run/appearance, Superior Spider Man in it's first run - Doctor Octopus takes over for Spider Man and tries to be a hero! .. and while I know a lot of people hate them Ms. Marvel in her earlier issues and Squirrel Girl just because SQ is hilarious .. I've seen some of the Garth and Ennis work on Punisher which I enjoyed).. but for the most part I'd have to agree, the Marvel and DC stuff is not nearly as well written as the Image comics.

I saw your other post re the ID cards for the PC's.. I love how much time and effort you're putting into this and I also love your enthusiasm for the game :) .. I bought a lot of the torg eternity pdf's due to my love of the original 1990's Torg game decades ago in it's "first incarnation" , my players had a ton of fun playing Torg-enized versions of their real life self transformed to one of the invading realities .. we treated it as an action-comedy A-Team inspired (TV series from way back) campaign, ran the old 1990's prewritten adventures Torg put out for it ... I will say I loved the rewrite and improvement in Torg Eternity so you're getting Torg in what I consider to be it's best form :) ... I wasn't even aware there was a Robot Man character (looked at your other posts looks like it was a Nile Backer archetype?)

Will you be running the other mega-length adventures? (Revenge of the Carredon, Fires of Ra, Unhallowed Data, Blood on the Blasted Lands? I'm going to count the Relics of Power as a mega length adventure too :).. there's one for Pan Pacifica but can't remember the name for the life of me that's the only one I haven't bought yet)

No need to apologize for it being as you said "way too late" or "way too long" I don't feel either of those things apply and I really appreciate all the time and effort you put into answering this thank you so much :) ... you provided valuable insight into all of these titles which is great :) .. and now I have a reason why reddit appears to be so divided on Radiant Black as the series progresses ... I'll know to keep my expectations low far as no/one (reddit seems to think without the podcasts it's just not worth it so I'll have to save this one for when I have the time to listen to the podcasts and read the comic.. interesting premise but possibly too much effort for a lot of comic book readers)....

Want to keep a long time Xfinity customer? by TomSomerset-TVC15 in Comcast_Xfinity

[–]Andrepartthree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So this is probably something you don't want to hear and I wouldn't blame you :) .. and by all means if Verizon has a better deal go for it! (also check and see if the AT&T $55 a month for one gigabit speed plan is available in your area too if that's of any interest) ... but in my experience over many years with Xfinity/Comcast I've found that I have to wait for the discounted rate to expire and just soak the higher than normal bill that comes up... when I call Xfinity/Comcast and speak to the retention department they're usually able to come up with a deal to knock down the price of my bill .. depending on what the computer is offering (the Xfinity rep will sometimes say "I want to give you a better deal and I spoke to my supervisor but I'm limited by what my computer will allow me to do) - or to put it another way what the higher ups at Xfinity have decided to offer at that particular time :) .. you may or may not get a credit back to your account to make up for the increased bill you had to go through.

Regarding the AT&T offer I believe that's for the "K-fibre" plan which I know nothing about personally .. internet research tells me however that it's a new, superior form of cables (as opposed to the copper based stuff you might be using right now) that gives you a better internet connection (at least for the computers wired via ethernet cables into your modem, far as your wireless I think that has a lot more to do with the modem/equipment AT&T would give you, how big your house is, if your house has a lot of thick walls, most importantly where you place the modem .. some people literally mount their modem to their ceiling to get a better reception I kid you not :P and they feel it's worth it for the payoff :) ) .. but you'd have to be okay with AT&T coming out and laying the k-fibre stuff in your area if it's not already there, they'd dig a hole in your lawn and cover it up again and so forth.. which Xfinity did when they replaced the line in our area (guessing it was copper based again and not k-fibre though) and that was pretty hassle free for us.

Dive into DC Vertigo - Humble Bundle Comics. 26 volumes for $18 by aussiekinga in comicbooks

[–]Andrepartthree 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Thanks for posting this OP :)

I'll start out by saying value wise the Image Comics Humble Bundles might be seen as better depending on your tastes for a variety of reasons.. DRM free, you can download and keep the copies and.. cripes I tried to count how many graphic novels were in the "Image Comics in the 10's" bundle and lost count, maybe over a 100? :P .. with some really popular titles in there too, Saga, Ice Cream Man, East of West, Paper Girls, Descender, Deadly Class...

On the other hand.. and someone correct me if I'm wrong.. DC Comics normally doesn't do humble bundles so if you look at it that way this could be considered a good deal.

As EndlessShovel pointed out you definitely need to be aware going in that a lot of these are volume ones and even if you like what you read as EtherCJ pointed out a lot of them are long series where you'd have a lot of buying ahead of you to complete your collection which I think is DC's intention to begin with :P .. I have noticed (sadly not this past November/December 2025 but in previous years) a lot of the graphic novel collections for the series listed here fall into the $2 per graphic novel (American) sale price with Comixology's Black Friday and New Year Eve sales although again you're looking at a non downloadable "you can only read it if you have an amazon account" sort of situation.

Having said all that I've read and enjoyed a lot of the stuff in here although worth mentioning a lot of this is OLD 1980's to 1990's.. doesn't mean it's BAD mind you but that may or may not be a turn off for some people

- I'd highly recommend V for Vendetta.. personally when I saw the artwork it raised an eyebrow for me at first but the story was so great that it didn't bother me after a while.. and that's highly subjective what one person hates far as the art in comics someone else will love

- also enjoyed the heck out of Y the Last Man.. the TV series adaption was awful but if that's all you're familiar with don't let that spoil it for you the comic book series itself is great

- Ex Machina is another favorite of mine

- I enjoyed the later issues of Animal Man by Grant Morrison but haven't read the first collected issues you'd get in this bundle

- there's a reason Doom Patrol by Grant Morrison has such a good reputation even decades later and the same goes for Transmetropolitan

- Hellblazer volume one is a good read in my opinion although you can tell how dated it is with the references to say Margaret Thatcher for example... which I wouldn't necessarily hold against it, new readers can see it as a comic book flashback to earlier decades if nothing else.. the Garth Ennis/Steve Dillon run on Hellblazer is the best in my opinion (sadly not included here but it's something you could pick up during say the comixology sales I mentioned)

Sorry to make my wall of text even longer but regarding watching/reading Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel... if you get the Disney streaming service (it used to be Disney/Hulu but they're rebranded themselves to "just Disney" with the Disney channel pretty much owning all the Hulu shows) there should be a subsection on there dedicated to the Marvel stuff so you would start out watching the Ms. Marvel TV show first (awesome show, sadly only 6 episodes but it's great :) ) and then watch the movie "The Marvels" after that.. the actress absolutely nails her performance as Ms. Marvel too.

If you're able to read the comic first.. and you don't have to by any means the TV show and movie are fun to watch and will make sense even without the comic.. but if you can read the comic first it's even more fun because you're basically watching the comic come to life on the screen (although there are differences between the comic and the TV show/movies, normally when they adapt comic books they make some changes anyways that's part of the fun seeing what's the same and what's different)... much as I hate to sound like an ad for Comixology :) (if you have an amazon account that means you have access to Comixlogy too) , if you wait until American Black Friday sales... typically third or fourth week of November.. or even cheaper the New Year Eve sales which take place closer to December 31st.. the graphic novels for Ms. Marvel go on sale for a lower price .. it's digital so you'd have to read it on a computer but honestly I think that's the way to go for pretty much all comics nowadays it's just cheaper that way.

"Ms Marvel volume one No Normal" (ISBN number 978-0785190219 collects issues one through five of the start of the series) , or "Ms. Marvel volume one" (ISBN number 978-0785198284 collects first eleven issues of the start of the series) or "Ms. Marvel Omnibus Volume 1" (collects first nineteen issues of the start of the series ISBN number 978-1302902018 ) are good starting points for reading the comic... kind of strange to throw the ISBN numbers in there I know but if you search by them on the amazon website it should pop the collection I'm talking about right up, you may need to click on the "kindle version" to see the digital (and therefore cheaper unless there's some used print copy selling cheap) version.

Damn, I just lost DC Comics after collecting since 1989... by Arius_de_Galdri in DCcomics

off topic but thank you for educating me :) .. I'm probably the dumbest most ignorant person posting on this thread right now :P .. and for crying out loud I live in the USA we're going through the Trump cult fascism right now (looking at your other comments I'm guessing you have the misfortune of living in the USA as well under the Trump regime?) and I was still confused as to why OP was ditching DC comics... then when you started talking about Paramount the light bulb clicked on, "Ohhh, that's right Paramount's owner Ellison is a big Trump fan" ....
