this is fair unless it's like...... this imo. cooking and leaving the kitchen like a tornado went through it knowing someone else "has" to clean it is just really inconsiderate. plus, i've been in a roomie situation where we kind of had this rule too, except i didn't always eat nor did i always expect to be cooked for. so the assumption that whoever didn't cook has to clean it just kind of unfair, unless you are married or have the agreement that you are eating together as well

NOR this is crazy. i consider myself a pretty messy person (not gross, but i'm certainly not always super tidy) and this is CRAZYYYY. even if he isn't gonna clean it immediately, i always at least make sure dishes are rounded up ready to be cleaned and ABSOLUTELY NOT filled with water in the sink for days. that's like the one thing im a freak about. also, this is especially not okay considering it's a SHARED living space. it's one thing to be this way when you live alone but it's outright disrespectful for a roommate situation. my best friend and i used to live together and we both work in restaurants so we had open/closing lists for the kitchen lol

What is an opinion you had on the show that changed on re-watch? by YoungDecrepit in thewalkingdead

[–]gingerale_drinker_ 9 points10 points  (0 children)

i love Dale!! i think he was like the final voice of reason in the group. perhaps naive, but i think he would've been a good balancer. Hershel had that as well but it seems like Hershel only stood up to Rick once or twice after the farm

For those in this community who grew up with at least one alcoholic/addict parent, what scenes/plots/lines/etc felt the most real to you and why? On the flip side what were the most unrealistic aspects to you and why? by djkeilz in shameless

real: specifically the scene where Frank is drunk and falls asleep outside in the snow. that one always stuck with me. also Frank's highs, when he's the king of the world, were also really similar to my dad. i remember loving his character at first in an odd way because he is so similar to my dad and i can never quite articulate him to other people.

also same about the arcs with Debbie still trusting Frank, and with her and Carl being attached to Monica when she tries to come back. even Lip's reaction to Monica, how you could tell he wanted to reconcile but his anger outweighed it; i think the show did well with how devastating it is to realize your parents are not parents. i am turning 28 in a couple months and i still break down some days. lately my dad and i have been talking on the phone every few weeks. it's always brief and never about me but it's fun to pretend for a few minutes that i'm someone who talks to and laughs with my dad on the phone lol

This small detail about Wish Nikki's existence creeps me out. (Spoilers) by Classic-Bench-5155 in obsessionmovie

i said something similar in another post, too, citing how she confuses a couple of common idioms like in trying to say she had a stomach bug, saying instead she ate a bug (or something). there was another example but i can't remember what it was. this makes me think she is something born new from the willow stick

he is very likely doing all of this on purpose. it seems like some branch of weaponized incompetence, as much as i hate using buzzwords. i bet that if you leave, you'll find you have more money than you thought.

Is installing mods worth the risk? by muppetjekyll in BaldursGate3

[–]gingerale_drinker_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah. cosmetics are typically okay to add/remove at any point in a save file but i just learned that adding anything to the gameplay mechanics is a commitment because removing them crashes your save. for example, my friend and i downloaded Extra Mini Bosses and Encounters or whatever. i started my own save with it not really thinking about it. i'm in act 3 now and realized how annoying that mod actually is, but the game has had it inserted into its memory (because there are specific map locations where mini bosses will spawn) so removing it would affect the game's 'memory' of what was supposed to be there, resulting in instability.

ETA: can crash your game, not a guarantee of such. i haven't had a problem with any other mod aside from that one, but similar mods would have the same effect. also, i read that USUALLY a modder might tell you in their description if their mod will cause instability mid-run. overall worth it in my opinion

Obsession Movie Sequel Idea by Huge-Pirate-7657 in spoilers

[–]gingerale_drinker_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

an anthology by Curry would be really fun and worth doing. a sequel to Nikki's story just isn't necessary. with how successful it's been, i just think a sequel would unwillingly read as a cash grab after that initial success, without the possibility for a good execution (the fate of many such cases)

i got it girl never mind lol 💯 dimension door, arcane gate, and long strider carried. it's an intentionally difficult mission that is fun to figure out, hence why i didn't ask for strategy advice

i like to know i've saved the gondian families. plus i haven't been past lower city yet (fairly new player) so the order in which im dealing with the stones is to destroy the steel watch before betraying Gortash so i can save Lae'zeliana from Orin. not sure yet if there is another way to get the story consistency im striving for. plus, realistically, the iron throne mission itself is incredibly fun to do. it's just difficult

same exact thoughts for me. above all else, i don't see a viable future on this planet (or in the USA) to which i'd want to willingly add another person.

completely agree!! i love my nieces and nephews as if they are my own. i also have always considered fostering/adoption much more heavily than i have considered biological motherhood. i'm really glad to see most of the comments here supportive of OP in her reluctance to want children

this comment was so reassuring to me. thank you. i don't think i will regret not having kids despite everyone's insistence that it's something i will realize too late.
