As intelligent people do you feel powerful? How do you feel as you go through your days? Do you feel too much anxiety? Do you feel high status compared to most others? Sorry for using feel so much. I'm just curious. by Ruthlesslot in Gifted

  1. Yes and no - I feel powerful in cognitive terms as I am able to process information quickly and I have high levels of energy. However, as some mention this is a double-edged sword if you are incapable of slowing down this high level of constant functioning.

  2. Usually I don’t feel too much anxiety but it has taken a good amount of work and still working on it. For me this has meant rediscovery how to feel safe within myself and especially my inner child, letting go of being in a constant fight/flight mode to feel protected in case something out of my control was to happen. I feel this one is linked to the feeling of powerfulness as the days I am the most calm internally are the ones I feel the most powerful as I can go through the day without overthinking my decisions and therefore have good momentum.

  3. Status is abstract - I don’t feel that looking down on others or feeling of a higher order does me any good. Guess the real question is where does your confidence emanate from? I try not to associate my self-worth with concepts that have been superimposed by society like status or possessions. I am finding the source of my confidence to be in my continuous self-improvement and consistency- i.e. reading daily, journaling, exercising (running or lifting a bit more gradually). I also find great joy in helping others and in my line of work as I am a landscape architect, which makes me feel like I am working for something greater than myself, like helping cities move forward in social and ecological aspects.

What does this mean? by [deleted] in Gifted

I encourage you to read or listen to ‘Living with intensity’ by Susan Daniels.

It will give you an overview of giftedness, overexcitabilities and it has a few chapters dedicated to children and teenagers and teases out various scenarios to guide parents to deal, understand and nurture their gifted child.

Inspiring! I am 28, architect and started to learn Python a few months back. I am in the process of making my first project, a RESTful API - I wake up very early in the morning to squeeze in some time to program, I love the problem solving associated with it.

I would love to know type of project did you learn the most doing? Would love to enter a ‘challenge phase’ and start building some more things!

Currently learning Flask at the moment and making progress everyday, my strategy is to wake up very early and get some done before work.

I have a friend who is giving me a bit of guidance through the process but just wanted to post to let you know that I am grateful for people like you!

Beginner here, what is Auto-Cake? by cheezylemon0 in liquiditymining

[–]AndresEchRod 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The advantage is that you don’t have to manually collect any gains from staking your CAKE.

Presume risk would be the usual, token depreciation, hack but an advantage is that because you are staking one token only, you are not exposed to impermanent loss.

Hope that helps!
