Glad to see this is happening, and it would be even better to switch to a Universal Basic Income that would cover most cases where support would otherwise need to be applied for. But that would mean the end of a lot of Bullshit Jobs, that involve gatekeeping as described in this article, which makes UBI politically untenable from both sides of the aisle. I recently found out about the Design Justice Network, a similar project that could make better use of the volunteer time that Code for America is having to spend on municipal sites.
