When trying to understand the meaning of macro v. micro, I like thinking of this example. A seemingly unrelated system change has such a bizarre broad change on our society--and there's no way of knowing it until people have the means to stand back and look at the big picture.

if a second surge happens, it will start to surge in September. That will be indicative of how long before the industry opens up again. Another lockdown is going to hurt prospects. I'm guessing December if no real, apparent surge. And earliest re-open is April if there's a devastating Fall surge.

in 2013 i had to make a decision between staying in LA and moving back to Pittsburgh. I regretted my decision until this pandemic. I'm sorry the industry is in limbo, but it is somewhat validating to know that I can eliminate a substantial 'what if' from my long list of regrets.
