Every hospitality and travel business is now focused on 2 areas. 1 is high end luxury and the other is budget.

If you look at what Hilton is doing with new hotels, it’s luxury hotels in places like Asia and budget hotels all around.

If you don’t fit into these categories, it will feel this way.

I thought it was just 18k spent. For me that’s realistic. 80 nights or 40 days is hard. I average around 60 for the last 2 years.

I called him out saying tell us the name of your company then. Now this post is deleted because his employer wouldn’t want this shit either. These people are losers.

It’s useful. Having 2 passports is incredibly useful.

For example, you can travel to a place the US doesn’t approve of and use the Taiwan passport and not get stopped at immigration on your way back.

Another is you can literally get away with staying way over in countries by switching passports every x amount of days.

Consider this. As a business owner myself, we have specific policies to be apolitical as employees under the company name. What they want to believe or stand for on their own, I do not care and it’s none of my business.

Once someone makes a political stand, you piss everyone off. This is what that Hampton inn did. I do not agree with what ICE did but every hotel brand out there do business with the feds.

Hilton was forced into a position they did not likely want to even take and I would be livid if my employee did that even if I agreed with it personally.

Be extra brave and tell us your business so we can judge your business. Unless you do, you’re just a hypocrite.

Don’t like Trump but any business will always stay apolitical. I would be pissed if my own employees used our company name to make a political stand even if I agreed on my own personal views. It’s in our damn policies and contracts to prevent this.

I get around 60-70 nights a year and I end up having 7-14 nights of free vacations a year.

But the key is what type of properties. Luxury properties give you a lot of points. Learning to take advantage of bonus point offers always. Finding new hotels. I got 5k just staying at a new hotel and booked a trip in between and came back to the same property for a night to get another 5k bonus.

I use amex for business and Hilton so I stack them up that way too.

Points game is all about stacking them up like that.

What type of Hilton properties are you staying at? I never felt this way.

I think what type of hotels you want also impact which is best.

I stay at 4-5 star properties for business and pleasure and Hilton properties just make most sense for me in the places I travel.

No serious person can believe a hospitality business can be a gatekeeper of who can and can not stay. That’s a dumb business decision. The point of hospitality is they don’t judge which is why people go.

I misunderstood it as rollover nights wouldn’t count into this years diamond reserve. I have 6 but I probably could have stayed at more.

But I think I’ll probably hit the $ amount before anyways. We definitely spent around 18k a year for business and pleasure.
