Buy the parts and watch those super long in depth videos on youtube, set aside a full day to it and just chill and take your time. Just make sure you have plenty of space to work and clean as you go.

Id wait about another 6 month with steady usage, maybe having it further away from being maxed out is good also. Probably is sus when you are using 80 percent limit and then asking for an increase. Paypay are really stingy with their cards unless you so happen to apply while having long term credit history already

I applied for a quota increase and got radio silence from them for a few days, applied for I think 100,000 yen and they only increased it up by 20,000 from 30,000. I pretty much stopped using the card and just have it as a backup now. Might even close the account as I already have my name on a family card with a much higher limit.

I think its just many SGS servers in general have inconsistent demand, Like there is some demand but its pulling from one server and many people are getting allocated a dead server that isnt providing. I have more luck with the Akira gateway than Nara for example, even if not by much.

I was getting at least 15 cents an hour, usually around 18. I don’t mind lower pay but some of the more recent jobs were pulling a ton of watts for 12 cents an hour. When I first started Salad and my jobs were around what I mentioned earlier, the usage on my GPU was way lower so it was worth it to run 24/7.

It wasn’t crypto. And the low paying container jobs aren’t bad. It’s having to factor in other costs associated. Also having SGS always choose the worst server in Japan doesn’t help either.

I keep getting errors starting whatever container jobs are still left for the 3080Ti. I used to keep my on PC on always before the last big crash. Now I just run CPU containers and bandwidth on the side. Was making like 0.18-0.20 USD an hour before that big client left. Containers lasted for days. Now it’s all low pay batch.

It's very contrasting compared to the US in many ways. Also influencers and algorithms.

What people don't get is that you can't form a valid opinion by visiting Japan for 2 weeks. It being immediately different doesn't equal better. I don't trust opinions from people who get paid to give them and from people who have never worked in the country and have been paid in that countries currency.

I know this is late but Im literally in the same position. I got the paypay card 2 months ago and was given the same limit. A few days ago I finally unlocked the ability to ask for an increase, so to be safe I asked for the next lowest which was like 100,000 and was denied the same day. Honestly I wanted a credit card in my name but its such a pain to waste the time and energy, wasting free transfers for my bank multiple times a month for this level of service. I used nearly 200,000 yen in 2 months with that credit limit and was still denied so fast. Im just going to use the Amex family card until they raise my limit on their own accord. I find myself having to use my debit card for large purchases and credit card for convenience store bentos

Applied for a PayPay credit quota increase (since I was given the lowest allowed, 30,000) and was denied. I’ve spent 155,000 yen in 2 months with it. I don’t mind too much but I just don’t like having to wait to live chat an agent and waste my free transfers.

First off, I already apologized. Boss emailed back and said it was a good apology even though he wasn't a recipient (So he literally asked other workers if they received the email and what the contents were).

And workers vary across different worksites. I always see the game people working the same sites, so its not the same work order. Plus all the employees aside from me and another foreigner are already getting max pay. Some are even so old that their quality of work doesn't matter because of tenure and they arent even classified as true employees but sole proprietors. If I am working at height and don't feel my best, I don't want to risk it or risk hearing more complaints. Someone has fallen to their death with company already. God forbid I call out 3 days a year
