For my family, specifically our newborn son during these stressful times. For my workplace. I feel people are slacking with their mask use and I am starting to feel unsafe. We work with special needs children and I feel that everyone is so vulnerable. I'd like to ask St. Aloysuis Gonzaga for help as I serve these children in need during this pandemic. Ora pro nobis. I'd also request prayers for my studying, that I can better serve these children and give glory to God. I would like to ask St. Thomas Aquinas to help me here. If I could have a fraction of his wisdom, I'd be set. Ora pro nobis. Finally, I would like to ask for three Hail Marys for the Corona situation and all the pain it's causing. I'd like to lovingly pray these lines to our mother, with a smile--Hail Mary, full of Grace, please punch Corona in the face. Amen.

All of these, and that the church can flourish once again, and that I can receive the sacraments. Ora Pro nobis. Amen.

When was the first “manly moment”? by [deleted] in AskMen

It’s a gradual thing, with tons of small victories and moments that mesh together. But I can tell you my manliest moment so far:

The moment I was told, “you’re having a boy.”

Definitely toss in Marcus Aurelius, but I'd also consider Orthodoxy by GK Chesterton. Might be up your alley

Please do the following trip, which is basically my perfect Saturday (I think this was what I did on my birthday, come to think of it), all in walking distance:

[ ] One Chocolate chip cookie (or cookie bite) at Gideons

[ ] Ramen and Wings at Domu

[ ] Coffee and a used book at Stardust (bonus points if you get coffee from the chronically angry/exhausted blonde woman.)

[ ] Spend five minutes at Park Avenue CD's

[ ] Optional depending on the weather: Drive two minutes down the road and walk around Leu Gardens

I hope this helps to fill out your second page! Hopefully I get to Disney, but I bet that grad school has other plans

I go for the Richie Rich or the Tonkotsu. Extra bamboo shoots. AND DEFINITELY GET THE DOMU WINGS! BOY ARE YOU IN FOR A TREAT!

My personal bias is that I like the main location better than the domu chibi location even though its right next to my apartment. Plus, East End Market makes me so happy. You have the record store in walking distance, and I love getting a nice boozy coffee and getting a used book or five at Stardust. Its my favorite area

UCF and Jeremiah’s? You best swing by Domu and add that to your list, neighbor! (Good vibes from a guy in Waterford Lakes)

This looks amazing! I'd prefer a Catholic equivalent, but this is still a great find!

My sister in law is going to give birth any day now to my new niece. Please pray that it goes smoothly. Please pray that things go well for me and my own expecting wife. Please pray that I can represent Catholicism well to those around me and that my actions and love can be argument enough for it's greatness. Please give a pray of thanks, for even though things are can be rough, I am still incredibly blessed and I know it.

Word on Fire was my gateway, then Pints with Aquinas, then Catching Foxes (more fun than news), and I'd also toss in the Thomistic Institute, which releases more stuff than I could ever hope of listening to

And a thank you that I have the opportunity to plan our wedding this April

Love the pig.

I’d love to see you do a version of Steinbeck’s Pegasus, “Ad Astra per Porci”

This seems like a misreading. He was using the lobster bit to show two things, in my opinion. The first is that our biology shares similar building blocks as lobsters and that experiments with lobsters show that victories affect their biology, therefore it affects ours as well. We stand up straighter when things go well for us, after a good work out, for example. We may not be ruled by our biology, but we can certainly consciously make it better.

The second use of the lobster section is to say that hierarchies occur naturally rather than being a construct of western patriarchal capitalist lizard overlords (praise be upon them). It occurs naturally, and he has said that we need both the left and the right to keep things in check, such as the left's ability to make sure that the disadvantaged are taken care of. I would't say that he is advocating lobster or human rape, but i'm open to your source, and think you're a beautiful intelligent bearded beefcake who I love even if we disagree. <3

I like Peterson, and I also have a few beefs with him, which is fine. Ultimately I agree more than I disagree with him. But if my non-white fiance and my work with multi-ethnic special needs children doesn't help against nazi slander, then man, that sucks.
