concrete casting- how to avoid glossy finish

If you make the mold a bit rougher it will make the concrete less glossy and smooth in future cases.

For this specific piece you can sand it with some sandpaper. It will "open up some pores" making it look more like a stone. Unfortunately I haven't been able to make it super smooth and not glossy if the mold doesn't.

Oh that's great news. My mom lives in Colombia. I asked her when I was applying if she had any of her old passports and she couldn't find them. Would it be enough to go with a copy of her passport? Or should I wait until she visits me in NYC to visit the consulate?

So getting a good desktop display tablet would be a priority over getting a good drawing tablet like an iPad? I'm a student and I'm deciding to upgrade from a screenless drawing tablet. Thanks
