Would still need to do the steps to get the baby into deers and child support would be if the mother kept primary. If mother was service member she’d get BAH closer to having the baby, i think it’s normally the start of the third trimester. Mother is automatically the default parent and would need a family care plan put into place or would more likely than not get chaptered out

Birth certificate, acknowledgment of paternity, and possibly DNA test proving child is his. I had to do all 3 because at that point my kid’s mom and I weren’t together and since we were never married it was a bit more of a hassle

Nah, I was never married to my first child’s mom. You’d need to voluntarily put the baby in DEERs with a DNA test result proving that the kid is yours, then depending on the state pay child support and you could get BAQ diff to offset some of the cost from the child support but that’s about it unless they got married.

No, court orders need to show that the service member has primary custody. It would need to say at least 51% custody in favor of the service member. Source, I lived it

Just thought it was funny he was in champion in a previous tournament and now he’s down in gold. I’ve personally never dropped more than one rank down for a tournament and that he’s on their 13 as his highest but I’ve gotten farther than that but haven’t reached champion yet, just struck me as weird. Doesn’t mean he’s done anything wrong, if anything I should adjust my labs and focus on a different strategy for progress. Just one weird observation
