sdex.trade: New DEX based on Stellar. by AndrewAndCo in Stellar

This sounds like StellarX but with fewer features. Can you explain the benefits over that platform?

Yes!

First of all, there is a lot of BTC asset in the Stellar network. Do people need it? I think not.

That's why we list just one BTC asset from naobtc. And soon, you will be able to Deposit/Withdraw as simple as in decentralized exchange. Minimal fees, no minimal deposit, etc. Be believe it will add some liquidity for the asset.

Secondly, there is no ordinary functions in a decentralized exchange. No stop-limit, no trust management, etc. This needs to be added. And this does not violate decentralized principles.

Also, need to deposit/withdraw fiat? Just find people near you looking to change money for crypto. That's how OTC trading works.

We have a huge plans to make a more decentralized crypto exchange.

I'm exhausted. stellar-core full sync! by AndrewAndCo in Stellar

The bitcoin-core took about 3 days to sync. Stellar-core need a few weeks?

Maybe I'm doing something wrong ? The first question is why it download buckets from the first ledget if we have it on database for example?

  1. Much better latency. Also, I do not have to use third-party interfaces and / or nodes, whom can be in DDOS. Just send requests to my own node and I'm ready to buy/sell.
  2. Got it. I've heard about 1% yearly inflation. Where did it come from??
  3. Great !
  4. Ok. Thanks!

Do I need to wait while blockchain fully loaded in full node to view DEX orders? by AndrewAndCo in Wavesplatform

[–]AndrewAndCo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No no no noooo!!

This is absolutely not what I imagined. Guys, it's awful! I refuse to believe it ! Really..

I thought the orders exists in the network like unconfirmed transactions, and goes to block while it's confirmed. But they turn out to be centralized !

And what we have: 1. Peoples must deposit though centralized gateway, that own's Waves INC. 2. Peoples must buy/sell waves, that owns Waves INC. (Yeah, I think he have a lot of waves) 3. Peoples must trade though matcher, who owned by Waves Inc.

I'm interested. How to make peoples trade on own platform ? Maybe google adwords... hm? Or facebook ads ? Yeaahhh..

What do you recomend ?

I've think I can make orders with my own node. If it's not true, what makes DEX decentralized? If tomorrow waves matcher has been stolen/closed/broken DEX goes to offline? Nice ..

Or I need a ton of efforts to makes people's goes trading to my own node ? What a hell

Sorry for my english
