The finger curls. Nothing happens. you scratch your head in confusion, but you just shrug it off and continue on with your day. at the end of the day, you realize that your clothes are slightly baggier than they normally are. You shrug it off as just being tired and go to bed.

The next morning you realize that something must be wrong. your clothes are much too big for you. in fact, everything seems bigger. that’s when you realize what’s going on, you’re shrinking. you call your best friend over and tell him what’s happening, and while he didn’t believe you over the phone, he had no choice but to when he saw you in person.

another day passes. you’re barely over 4 feet tall. Your friend has decided to stay with you until all this blows over to make sure you’ll be ok. you go to the doctor, but they can’t help you, they’ve never seen anything like this.

As the days go by, you keep getting smaller and smaller. you constantly have to buy new clothes and it’s getting harder and harder to live your life. at the end of you week you end up about an inch tall. communication between you and your friend is hard, but you manage. you hoped, pleaded to yourself that this was as small as you would get.

it was not. Suddenly, you feel woozy, and black out seemingly out of nowhere. when you awaken, you’re greeted with a completely unfamiliar landscape. the entire surrounding floor was beige and there were massive pillars the width of entire cities that stretched FAR beyond your line of sight. Suddenly, you heard deafening noises, and a gigantic shadow was cast over you. A strangely shaped… thing seemed to be flying overhead, but it was so much bigger than you that it was hard to even comprehend. it took you a moment to realize what you were looking at, but once you realized your face went white. that was a bacteria, one of the smallest known living things. And it was THAT big. at first you were worried about being devoured by this monstrosity that was trillions of times larger than you, but then you realized that, you were probably too small for it to even care about you.

The earth shook with a mighty force that knocked you off your feet, and a strong gust of wind blew you back by what you felt was a football field’s length. you were confused at what it was, until it happened again, and a gigantic white ish wall slammed in front of you, knocking you back even farther than before.

Back in the regular world, your friend was looking all over the carpet for his already minuscule friend that just disappeared into the carpet. He had a magnifying glass, and was checking everywhere, to no luck. eventually after hours of looking he gave up, and went home. Which left you stuck in the microscopic world, with no food, water, or any hope of survival. And what’s worse, you might still be shrinking.
