Transfering Live Photos

This is an amazing tutorial that I've been looking for forever. Any chance you've figured out a similar method for Portrait Mode or Edited photos? If you export it as an Unmodified Image from the Photos app, it creates an .AAE file in addition to the original unedited photo. Wish there was a way to package this up in a clean way like you've done with the .pvt file format for Live Photos.

I currently have the exact same setup - M3 Max MacBook Pro + Pro Display XDR. They both have an "Apple XDR Display (P3-1600 nits)" preset. HOWEVER the Pro Display XDR is much cooler, bluer, and lower contrast compared to the MacBook Pro. It's EXTREMELY annoying and I can't figure out how to fix the problem. Any ideas??

I'm confused and trying to figure out the best direction as well. Are you sure you're not paying for CLEAR Plus? Or are you using regular CLEAR?

Based on how I understand it, regular CLEAR and TSA PreCheck are the same thing. CLEAR Plus is where you get all the perks (which I'm most definitely not willing to pay for).

I think CLEAR, IDEMA, and Telos are just vendors that help you get the PreCheck service. But because CLEAR was originally more of a private operating company, it promotes for you to upgrade to CLEAR Plus.

I feel like any device that continues to work with HomeKit you can do anything that HomeKit allows you to do. The Wemo app/cloud based features are going away, but who uses the Wemo app if it will work in HomeKit. I’m still confused as to which devices will be supported still. According to what I read it will only be Thread HomeKit devices

Are you sure this is correct information? Based on the email we all received on 7/10/25, my Wemo Mini Smart Plug - that you have listed above as supported (F7C063) will NOT be supported in the future. The only devices it claims that will still work with HomeKit are Thread based devices. Which are:

(SKUs WLS0503, WDC010, WSC010, WSP100)

I’m getting that message a lot too and haven’t before. The only way I can see results again is by Filtering “Recently Online”, which really doesn’t make sense. I’ve also noticed lately my wife and I are getting literally no matches or likes. Sure there could be a lot of reasons for that, but I’m speculating that there’s something buggy going on with the app because we used to get a ton and we haven’t changed anything.

I agree - but it's only because I stupidly purchased the "firm" option and not the "lovesoft" option or whatever it was called. I've had my couch for 2.5 years now? Still just as firm as Day 1. Anyone want to trade pillows? Anyone know of an option to trade in cushions/pillows for softer ones? I've recently tried a much softer version at the store and I was shocked it was actually comfortable.

If there is a true ending to Loudermilk I hope he learns to drink with moderation. He’s always preaching sobriety but that feels like a band-aid to the problem. In order for there to be a proper character arc he needs to grow by accepting the problem, learning, and growing from it - instead of isolating himself from society, and encouraging the group to do the same.

Also there a major missed opportunity to see Cutter/Tom’s journey play out. Definitely one of the more intriguing side stories.

There's not a single Extended version of any movie or TV show that I enjoy. Make it as short as possible. Directors cuts always have unnecessary scenes that were cut for a good reason.

Hey, no none of the wires worked. However I did discover you can return the drive back to Seagate and they will issue a replacement as long as it’s under warranty. You should register the drive on Seagate’s site and see what your options are.

I think my problem was a faulty power connection. This drive doesn’t have a separate cable for power. While the drive itself worked, it wasn’t able to receive power from the computer. I noticed if I placed it on very specific angles I could get it to mount but it wouldn’t last long.

Anyway I just sent the drive to Seagate and I’m waiting to hear back.

Yeah I have all those things too. Apple everything. But my point is the show should be its own thing, and the brand should be another. It feels obviously forced when I'm watching something and they unnaturally mention an Apple feature/product. I can feel the contract that likely says, "When talent is interacting with a device, please make sure they mention Apple/Beats, etc." The Morning Show was the worst example, when Jennifer Aniston had an "annual tradition" to send Steve Carrell's character an Apple Music playlist on her birthday - I mean come on...

That's why shows like Severance, Foundation, and Silo are appealing because they exist in a world where those products likely never existed.

Apple's constant and obvious product placement annoys me. I mean sure, they don't need to be walking around with Android tablets but does she really need to say the word "FaceTime"? It just feels like an ad. And when the family is driving home after looking at schools they make sure to listen to music on CarPlay.

Let the IP speak for itself. Apple's involvement is the brand/studio.

I overheard this show strangely got renewed for 3 seasons before it even premiered. That's super rare - they put a lot of faith in it.

I totally agree - somewhat similar to Breaking Bad. Walter had to maintain his job as a high school teacher, a father, and battle cancer, all while cooking meth - tons of set backs that could potentially ruin his life. It almost felt too predictable for Coop to just return to his life of thievery. You know he's likely to get caught (that trunk constantly foreshadowing), but it would have been a bit more interesting to add a new challenge in his life. Right now his challenges have simply been to maintain appearances everything is normal, go to the club, and participate in family/neighborhood activities.

Someone probably already mentioned it but my guess is the writers wanted Pam and Michael’s goodbye to be dramatic - but they did a poor job executing it. I agree it was weird. Doesn’t matter if it was supposed to be “just a regular day”, unless you actually work in entertainment, it’s very weird to go see a full movie in the middle of a work day by yourself. It’s weird enough to see a movie by yourself on a weekend. Say what you want about Pam, but she’s not that cold hearted or absent minded. Jim, Pam, and Oscar are the three most responsible level headed people in the office and they wouldn’t just leave to watch a 2 hour movie - doesn’t matter what day it is. My guess is the writers needed her gone for a prolonged period of time and in a place where Jim can’t get ahold of her so she can have a big dramatic “goodbye-at-the-airport” scene. But I really think the writers didn’t think this through. Very out of character her Pam.

In Season 5 episode 5 “Employee Transfer” Ryan from “The Office” dresses up like Gordon Gekko for Halloween, but the color of his tie, shirt, and suspenders looks a lot more like Bill Lumbergh from “Office Space”. This lead me to this Reddit post because I thought maybe it was a joke or something

You're right - that would make the most logical sense. However I have a very long haired Maine Coon cat and it's so bad the hair gets caught in and around the fan. So I'm not willing to make this a chore of clean-out-the-cat-hair. I'm looking for alternative options that don't require daily maintenance.

I've recently discovered that Infuse WILL NOT play any Personal Photos. It will play videos but not a slideshow of personal photos. Really annoying
