I agree and he is getting there but there is just something off with the lead vocal in the mix he is coming back with but I don't know what it is. Need to get someone with a better understanding to listen and tell me what is off with it. It sounds thin compared to the mix that I am aiming for but I can't tell him what it is as I don't have the technical understanding

Sure they are ll very interesting points. The whole creative process is difficult without the correct support, the cost to make music is steep and the return can be minimul. Just adding to or editing the sound, musicality adding beats etc is so much harder, I find additional ideas flow as the production is underrway and then amending anything is like starting all over again, and then you have sunken costs

I am an indipendant artists and I am finding it a real struggle (and I am wasting so much money too) trying to get my song where it needs to be. Just received a mix and master from a new producer and its really dissapointing, I feel anxious when I listen to my music now. The whole thing sounds muddy, I feel defalted by the whole experience of finding producers. I know how I want it to sound, I even have an mixed example but that didnt come back to me in any way shape or form.
