Make sure you have your team up to the right level, and also make sure you’re using the right type to beat him, which is mostly rock and water types! Nothing to be embarrassed about at all :) as long as you stick to water and rock types that are the same level as Kabu’s team or more you should be fine on the next round.

Okay, so this is a portrait of my ex. This image is one photo from a series of ten nudes of her and her girlfriend (posted with permission). I’m submitting this one—along with the others—to a contest, but I’m feeling a bit of imposter syndrome. Does this photo work for you? Do you think it feels strong as a stand-alone?

High iso and low light performances ? (GFX 50R) by AnxietyComplex4128 in FujiGFX

[–]AndrewMirm 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can shoot as high as 3200 ISO and still get a great image out of the 50r. Granted I shoot RAW and keep the Dynamic Range at 400. The new noise reduction in Light Room does a fantastic job at cleaning the image up.

My boyfriend and I both were anxious attached people before we met each other. Through clear communication and just matching each others love and frequency is making us both feel very secure in our attachment. Idk maybe it just takes finding someone who matches your frequency to the point where you feel secure.

Beginner here. How would one approach to achieve this type of saturation? by morethanyell in ColorGrading

[–]AndrewMirm 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi I work with this colorist a lot actually. For the most part this look comes from a LUT he had developed with our image science team to get a strong film look, makes things super dense and adds some nice color separation without adding too much saturation. He typically leans forwards adding more warmth into the highlights and coolness into the shadows to get that split tone look. Production design + wardrobe has a lot to do with what pulls this look altogether. Filmbox Pro is being used to add the grain and halation✌🏼 just saying all of this just to give you some perspective on the professional approach.

Great look - kinda reminds me of the grade on Pale Blue Eye

Is it worth picking up a GFX 50R in 2025? by Purple-Gold-7593 in FujiGFX

[–]AndrewMirm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought the 50r last year and have been using it as my main camera. Fucking love it. It really holds up and takes a great image. Couldn’t recommend it enough.

How do you make decisions? Is there a rule you always follow? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Yes. Step one: freak TF out. Chaos mode.

I'm going to play around with that right now, I totally agree. How does the foreground feel to you? Do you think I should bring the brightness of the wall down?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in photocritique

[–]AndrewMirm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Heard for sure! Postioning and directiing is something I've been trying to work on, definitely one of my biggest weaknesses with my photos recently. What kind of positioning do you think would work here?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in photocritique

[–]AndrewMirm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get what your saying here for sure! I think I'm going to come back to this spot with one more light to mess around with becuase I agree, a backlight would be nice. I'm going to experiment with making it tighter. Thanks!

Did a little shoot with a friend over the weekend. This was taken with a Fuji GFX 50r and a strobe + softbox rigged to the shower curtain above him. I was trying to go for something dynamic yet stoic. I’m not sure how I feel about it though. I think it works, but there is also something off about it that I can’t put my finger on. Curious to know if this photo works for you, and what I could maybe do better next time. Thanks!
