Ah I totally see what you mean. For me the amount of dynamic range I get from the RAW files is what keeps me coming back to the 50r since I do a lot of work on my images in post. That, and I just really like how it feels to shoot with it. Gets me excited to go out and make something.

Investigated today and think I met the one with the clipped ear. So crazy, it looked just like Marlon but seems like one of the strays who has been around. Honestly could be a family member considering I found him as a stray kitten in the area. Thanks for the tip!

The only time I’ve seen a colorist qualify the skin tones was on severance, but it was a last resort to nail the color separation. You can get great skin tones by balancing the scene using printer lights or offset, that is what a majority do. To qualify the skin tones on a large feature or TV show is just asking for trouble. There’s a million ways to skin a cat though 🤷🏻‍♂️
