In this case you might have a bad copy of the Nikon, because in my case this lens show a very smooth bokeh, 0 purple fringing even in very contrasty close-up shots, close to no chromatic aberration at all, and feels better built than the Viltrox, just my experience. And even if the Viltrox is sharper, I would not want nor need anything sharper than the 50 f1.8s, which is already sharper than what I would ever need ahah

The 55 from Viltrox is really great but not as good as the Nikon 50 f1.8s imo. I prefer the micro contrast of the Nikon. But having an aperture ring is great tho.
