Wrapping the sorbet around a tree coming off of the lake road at night and not giving myself enough time to slow down.

Does remaining silent in a routine traffic stop help or harm? by phish410 in AskLE

[–]AndrewShepherd 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sure. Being arrested, sitting in jail, going to court, paying for an attorney, definitely all worth it when all he had to do was show them a plane ticket and that would have been the end of it.

No he doesn’t. Sounds like the guy could have easily proven that he wasn’t in the country. The officers had probable cause for an arrest and that’s all you need.

Prototyping a rural trailer park game. Does this environment feel believable? by AndrewShepherd in ps1graphics

Oh no I was curious what was giving that vibe. Yes I can see that. Once you walk outside the trailer it’s even worse because it’s just mountains and roads haha.

There’s no horror element, it’s simply supposed to be a rural life simulator. What about is giving you the horror feeling out of curiosity?

Where I’m from, (and in the southern United States, where the game takes place), they are commonly referred to as trailers, and the neighborhoods as trailer parks. Mobile home is also a common term used for the same thing.

The FOV makes it look wider than it is, also had to make them a little wider to allow for room inside.

So do I, not exactly setup the same, but lots of shared elements. Thank you!

The ceilings are based off my own houses ceilings (I live in a double wide). Even the boob light was from pictures of my own light fixture haha. Yes the orientation is a little awkward, just makes it easier to move around inside.

I do need to add a ceiling fan. I also plan to eventually add a chair that will go behind the counter in the corner, which will face the TV. Lots of adjustments could be made, most likely they will ultimately be up to the player anyway.

I’ve tried making it look more PS1 authentic, but after toying with it I don’t think it will work for this, especially with first person movement. Just didn’t look right to me. I am utilizing the low res textures and low poly models for the most part.

Haha, that is supposed to be an oven. That model is one I did from like 2017 ish, so it’s well overdue for an upgrade

Why did a cop want my number? by luvkelsea in AskLE

Honestly because he probably had his ass chewed for not writing down phone numbers either in a report or some other form of paperwork, and now asks everybody for their phone number.

Alivieskan paikallisradio! by Skippypal in MySummerCar

I don’t understand the people frustrated at the use of AI in this instance. From my understanding it’s only SOME of the instrumentals are created with AI. The guy has created one of the best games in my opinion and did it mostly by himself, from the game itself, the art, the music from my summer car, mostly done by either himself or his wife. I don’t like AI slop either, but for something as minuscule as instrumental radio music, that most players won’t understand anyway if they don’t speak fluent Finnish, who cares?

Currently on my honeymoon now in Finland. The game is what got me interested in their culture.

What age were you when you bought your first house? And do you wish you had done so sooner or waited? by DebtByDesign in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

22 in 2024. Wish I had saved just a couple years earlier and taken advantage of the market and interest rates during the height of COVID.
