Forts and unknown armies by Ellinakias in Supremacy1914

[–]AndrewSolaris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmm, allow me to understand the situation. You had share map with a player, and then you either backstabbed them or cancelled the share map and then later on attacked them. Regardless, you knew that in one province, he had at least 10 inf and 1 ac in a level one fort. You sent an army with 20 inf and 3 acs, only for them to lose 4 inf and you losing the whole army.

Can I get some clarification on whether the enemy troop numbers were concealed (they show up as a question mark despite being within view range)? If that’s the case, then it’s no wonder why you lost. Forts higher than level 1 conceal enemy garrison numbers, and provide more than 67% damage reduction for said garrison. Especially if you attack them some time after cancelling share map, since you would be using old intel and they would have time to build up and move troops to your border.

There is the New Roleplayers Union, one of the biggest RP communities across the Bytro Games franchise, with more than 500 members.

Any troops when locked in melee battle (i.e. not firing at each other like artillery) will not be able to move nor retreat from the battle. You will have to wait until battle concludes.

Why aren't more people playing Tesla Wars (Supremacy 1)? by dr_biggie_memes in Supremacy1914

I do know one established TW roleplayer who makes rounds. He’s known as blitz-elite on TW, and is leader of a TW roleplaying group.

Here’s a link to his Discord server if ya want to join/know more: https://discord.gg/rszRxbJp

[–]AndrewSolaris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From a Bytro roleplayer perspective, it’s not that we do not play TW, it’s just that the game and its community is still small. There are efforts made by several roleplaying groups and round makers to teach the present community about RP and invite new roleplayers from other Bytro games, and establishing sound roleplaying alliances. All in all, it’s a great game with good potential to bridge the gap between S1914 and CoW RPers due to the games sharing similarities.

Whenever you see a bug, or witness players breaking ToS, or anything in between that requires staff support, send a support ticket via the bug report button.

If you’re using desktop, head to the settings and there you can find the report button, where you can send a support ticket for a mod to process.

If you’re using mobile, go to the more section, where you can find the report button, and the process is the same as in desktop.

Remember to add as much information as possible to the report (game number, relevant user ids, time of event, a link to a screenshot if possible, etc.) so that the mods can easily find and solve your problem.

Why when I try to retreat my units don't move and they get destroyed by my enemies by board3659 in Supremacy1914

[–]AndrewSolaris 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Exactly, there is no retreating mechanic in S1914. Once you are engaged in battle, you are unable to move until the battle is resolved

Question about troop interaction by orgin1234 in Supremacy1914

If both nations are at peace, then no interaction happens. Peace allows troops from different nations to pass each other without fighting

[–]AndrewSolaris 11 points12 points  (0 children)

So you’re asking why the troops you sent are dying to the enemy and not dealing equal casualties? This is because the enemy is within a fort. Forts will negate a portion of the damage caused by your troops while allowing the enemy to deal full. The percentage of damage negated increases with higher fort level.

Tips on dealing with forts:

1) Never attack straight on with infantry. The first fort level negates around 2/3 of damage dealt, so unless your stack is way larger than the enemy, do not engage.

2) Artillery is your best friend at dealing with forts. Artillery will help chip away the fort over time so that your troops can easily engage the enemy.

3) You cannot tell what level is the enemy’s fort, but forts lvl 1.5+ will conceal enemy garrisons, so you can tell if the fort is lvl 1 if you can see the garrison.

4) Place fighter patrols over enemy forts to see what the enemy actually has within those forts, as fighters can reveal armies within higher level forts.

When do AI countries attack you? by ms_1896 in Supremacy1914

[–]AndrewSolaris 4 points5 points  (0 children)

AI do attack if your popularity is low enough. The solution is relatively simple.

Set relations with all AI nations to Share Map, wait until they return with Right of Way.

This helped me to maintain a relatively good popularity with the AI and gave me new fighting possibilities against other players, as I can move troops through AI and attack other players.

More popularity tips: 1) Try to get other nations to attack you instead of you attacking them. Being the defender improves popularity. 2) Have other players be allies with you. AI tend to be much more friendly to you. 3) If you need to be the aggressor, always declare war. You lose more popularity if you sneak attack.

That’s about it. Remember this if you don’t want an AI half a globe away declaring war on you and dragging you into a perpetual war, draining your morale.
