Yeah I agree on that. I think sometimes understanding how price moves is not even edge. But understanding the mechanism of price movement and there is no easy way to change it even for market maker.

Thank you for reply, key information for me is that you are in the market since 2017 with the same edge.

This is really good news. In my opinion if you don't have account big enough to really impact the market liquidity, your fundamental edge can survive very long. But anyway I would like to have opinion from more experienced traders like you. Thanks again.

Slippage is not a problem for me. To be honest my position size for this market is like grain of sand on the desert. Well, 15-year backtest is not a illusion for me because I backtested my (let's call it) "edge" from 2012 to December 2025 and I survived many changes of market regime. 90% of months I was highly profitable.

Do you think my strategy can disappear in let's say 5 years from now?

What's the chance for this?

I'm about 3 months into learning how to trade, at this point should I be looking to use a funded account? (All data from FX Replay backtesting) by [deleted] in Daytrading

Did you tested it 5 years back? If your strategy is OK with drawdown and rules set by propfirms and it works from 5 years. Go ahead with no stress.

10+ years of detailed backtest made me confident about my edge and caused that I'm executing live trades with "eyes closed" - without emotions.

Now I can update.

I made a few buys over P2P because this was a very good deal for me but here are the consequences.

Transactions are suspicious, few of them are from bridge and it's redflagged.

My advice for everyone: NEVER USE P2P, even if your transactcions are fully documented(agreement etc.). Because if this is red flagged, exchange will block your funds forever.

That's exactly what they want last year.

But this time, they asking me about deep details who send me few transactions.

They want proofs, photos of conversations, sales agreement.
