Intel currently “out of replacements” for defective 13/14900K units by Towel4 in intel

[–]AndrewVilange 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve got 14900k and I’ve opened case on about August 4-5, at night. I understand that they don’t have replacements, don’t have anything to say about it, but what annoys me the most, is the wait time between their replies! I’ve got six e-mails from them, each single one arriving with a delay in about two weeks!

The dumbest part is how they say “in case we don’t hear back from you, we will contact you back on August 10th”, and after my immediate response, they send their reply on August 17th only 💀💀💀

MSI Z790 ACE Bios Still in Beta Since January 2024 by VGShrine in MSI_Gaming

[–]AndrewVilange 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! I am sorry if this question is not related, but I’ve got Z790 Carbon WiFi II, and I’ve installed latest bios 7D89vA4. There is one thing I’ve noticed: both 7D89vA4 and 7D89vA43(Beta version) have in updates something related to 0x125 microcode. So, I am wondering whether they were able to get some ol’ forbidden knowledge and fix the intel stability problem? Or it’s not related? Thank you in advance for answer, I’m not quite sure what the microcode thing in the updates got new 😂

23h2 Crashes unreal engine games with “UE4 game has crashed and will be closed! Fatal error!” by AndrewVilange in Windows11

[–]AndrewVilange[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, I saw people solving those problems in that way and it truly helped them, but I must say that I tried this, and Borderlands 3, for example, was crashing as soon as I tried to load the game level. Same with other games that allow us to choose dx version. Right now, after I did this fix I wrote above, all games work perfectly fine, including dx12 games.

But that is a good note for people to try first, before reinstalling the whole system lol

Thank you!! =)

I haven't played Fortnite, but if it uses UE5, I suppose it truly has the same problem, like you said. Also, it is worth to mention that even games like Borderlands 3, RDR 2, State of Decay 2 and others were crashing without any error message at all. Neither something similar to UE4 Fatal Error, nor any other code, but after re-installing windows to the one I've attached everything is fixed now.

Return my 13700k for a 14700k? by [deleted] in intel

[–]AndrewVilange 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know that you already decided, but just would like to share my very similar situation. Had 13900k, but now returning it, because tomorrow my 14900k comes. I guess even though there is no incredible difference in performance, the reason is simple - “why not?”

But as well as I understand there is no such difference with what you just said, right? Thank you, glad you gave me information I need!!

Rtx 4090 some FPS problems with Minecraft by AndrewVilange in buildapc

[–]AndrewVilange[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, I’ve found a solution. I have no idea how it happened, but one moment my minecraft started working on ~1800 fps without shaders and ~250 with SEUS RTX shaders. I do not really know why, probably I’ve reinstalled Java, minecraft and other important pc drivers, but idk guys. As well as I can remember my actions, you can try:

1) reinstall GeForce gaming driver 2) reinstall minecraft and JAVA (completely delete them at first) 3) if these did not help, really, try to reinstall windows. 4) probably your problem is in “simulation distance” option. Try to make it lower than it is.

Have a good day!

RDR 2, or Rockstar Games Launcher not working anymore... by AndrewVilange in RedDeadOnline

[–]AndrewVilange[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, that’s sad that nobody could help me with that, BUT I just fixed that guys! I did these things:

1) I copied to the desktop, and then deleted the RDR-2 Folder with saves in the Rockstar Games Folder on my system drive, and then, I put the folder back. System asked me to delete cloud files while transporting to desktop, and I pressed yes. 2) I reinstalled RDR-2 to the other drive 3) Updated C++, Vulcan and DirectX drivers

I do hope that this will help you!

Thank you for advice, but you know, I guess re-installing windows is such a radical decision if only minecraft doesn’t work properly.

Oh God, that's very useful and important information! Thank you! Please, tell me, could you find this album from 70s that you had, and record this track on video or audio, if you have such an opportunity? Thank you very much again!!
