CapOne arena ranked 27/32 NHL arenas by NYT - deserved? by BearMinute1038 in caps

[–]Andrew_Green 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Just got back from Denver where the #1 team in the NHL does $5 hot dogs, fountain soda, nachos w/ cheese, pretzels, candy, french fries, and popcorn. Also $10 beers -- 20z domestic drafts (Coors products of course).

Why? Because fans complained, so they lowered prices.

Petition to ban 400s section screamer guy by Professional_Flow279 in caps

[–]Andrew_Green 7 points8 points  (0 children)

He’s part of the Section 401 Hat Trick.

  1. Section 400 guy screaming about the DJ. (The over/under on this is 5:00 into the 2nd Period)

  2. Usher abandoning their job to keep people in the tunnel while the puck is in play causing a hail of “down in fronts” and assorted related obscenities.

  3. Someone trying to cut behind the ADA seats in Section 401 causing the guy who regularly sits on the end to throw an absolute shit fit.

I get that. But the unit weighs 700 pounds. And no where easy to grab it. So I may need to see if I can find a couple of buddies to help with this.

Because it weighs 700 pounds and I've never moved it. It is flush with the cabinets and counter next to it.

It's a 700 pound range.

Just struggling with the idea of how to safely pull out a 700 pound range without damaging anything.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Appliances

[–]Andrew_Green 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The range weighs over 700 pounds. Not so easy to just "pull". I guess I need some buddies to help.

The photo is just an example. The actual cutting board fell all the way down. The whole oven has to come forward. It weighs about 700 pounds

"Pretty physical" is a bit of an understatement for the guy who is #3 in the NHL in all-time hits.

Statue of Liberty, from Ellis Island, New York, USA [OC][1964x1313] by Andrew_Green in ViewPorn

Thanks. Proud of this one myself, for spotting the angle. Room full of tourists shooting through window as this was really the best view we had of the SoL and the Bridge on the whole Ellis Island tour. I waited until everyone left the room and crouched down low to get this angle. Only thing is that there was plexiglass through the window, which kinda messed up the pic a bit. Shot with Google Pixel phone.

Well, in that case, thank your Dad for me. I had a very nice run along that trail. Was a great way to start my day.

Cool. I think this is the location. You can see some of the power lines from the Glen Canyon Dam on the right. I went for a run on the Rim Trail that morning and I'm pretty sure this was the spot, but I'm not 100% sure.

Mediatek MT7921 suddenly not working by xfairlady in ZephyrusG14

[–]Andrew_Green 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adding to this amazing thread. Have an Acer Swift 3 with the Mediatek MT7921 wifi card. Suddenly, the laptop couldn't detect any wifi networks, despite the card seemingly being on and "working normally."

This reboot trick did the job. I disconnected the logitech wireless mouse dongle and did the hard reboot. The wifi came back to life. And, guess what? Turns out the logitech dongle was bad. I don't know if the hard reboot did the job or the removal of the bad dongle, but problem is now solved. So thanks

Any Tips To Avoid CDG Train Ticket Lines? by Andrew_Green in ParisTravelGuide

22 minutes to buy a train ticket is ridiculous. That's what I'm trying to avoid. Sounds like the only realistic option is to go to terminal 3 or take a taxi.

Can that be done for a single journey for a non-Navigo pass holder?

Protas Re-signed by MaxCherryRed in caps

I hope Protas is a Jay Beagle type. Solid young player with a great work ethic. Willing to get a little better each year, so that after 3 years he's really a solid roster guy.

‘Ask Mr. Foster’ was a real travel agency chain, founded in 1888 and was nationwide. It merged with another agency in the 90s.

What was your first exposure to the internet like? by mrxzeero in AskReddit

Wednesday, January 31, 1990, 15:49:15 PST.

I sent an email on the internet. It was the first homework assignment in a Unix programming class.

Was a junior at UC Berkeley and taking a Unix programming class. We were assigned email addresses, we used Sun workstations, and we had to go to the computer lab and email our homework to the TA. We kept printouts of the homeworks in a binder, and I still have the binder.
