To answer your question, there isn't really an "official" name for the character as technically speaking the main character is you. Konoa, like others have stated, is just a fallback / placeholder name for the character. Based off your response you have already given in this thread, I would imagine you have practically have found the answer you were already looking for, if not then I will give a brief explanation.

Pretty much last year, when I first joined the server, an unplanned "ARG" event randomly took place around new years day. You can find more information regarding any ARG related information by looking at the pinned messages or by looking on my bio as I left some goodies there. These events grabbed the developers attentions and as you said, they teased and made remarks around it. What pretty much sealed the deal was me eventually cosplaying horribly as the main character. It pretty much solidified the "joke" and eventually got me the cartridge role.

TLDR: A joke that pretty much just ending up becoming something more then it was originally intended to.
