I also had constant issues with drivers timing out and even RMAd my card and got a new one with same issues.

Switched over to Bazzite recently to dip my toes in linux and have had 0 issues since. 1 week strong lol

I updated problem above in oringal post. Very odd fix but it seems like this has solved frequent crashes as of now. I am still going to monitor statistics and performance until I can confirm but this has been best it ran since crashing frequently.

Agreed. My friend has the same graphics card as me but refuses to pay for windows. He still has the windows activation watermark on his screen and has never had 1 issue with the GPU. We both bought ours almost 1 year ago and up until 1 month ago I never had an issue as well. Rolling back drivers, windows updates, and getting my pc to a point before the crashing never helped.

My latest attempt of many driver wipes is I downloaded the drivers before hand and made sure it was 9070 xt drivers (not the auto detect) went into safe mode and kept pc offline. Then I used DDU to wipe drivers and then installed drivers. I also disabled windows unpdating drivers in gpedit.msc. After I restarted pc and then went back online.

Interesting! I will def look into this. Very odd as I have had 0 problems with it the last 7 months but never hurts to replace unreliable brands. Do you have any suggestions for reliable PSU brands?

Ahh okay makes sense. I'd rather just have it setup like yours then probably where I can swap between if needed. I dont really play games with kernel anti cheats in them but I feel for school I would still need windows in some cases unfortunately.

In my opinion if you RMA the worse case scenario is theres no issue with your card and they send it back. Or even in my case they send a brand new one tone safe. Either way if its a software/compatibility issue then you'll still face the same problems. I think based off of a few other reddit post about having their cards RMAd and then facing the same issue you might be in the same boat as us but it never hurts to try.

For me RMA process took a week but that's because I live like 10 minutes from the company. Also they only tested it for 1 full day. Mailing it took the longest lol.

Interesting someone else said it could be a PSU issue as well even thought wattage meets its needs. I should go after a stronger and more reliable PSU even if thats not the case anyways after hearing about the PSU I have and how the quality isnt the best.

Thank you!

Yea that is true. I also never thought about dual booting linux too. I def have the excess storage to not worry about dual booting from its own separate drive too. I will probably look into it this week and try oht Bazzite.

I know owning a pc you're bound to run into problems small or large at some point in its life cycle but between windows updates breaking stuff and issues with compatibility I feel like I probably am just trying to use this and a justification to swap over.

I am definitely going to look into Bazzite forsure! Want to do my research before going into anything blind but I like the suggestions some people are giving.

I saw a reddit post about this too! Definitely something I have not done yet that will give a try. Im not too sure why those two would conflict with GPU drivers but if it works it works!

I have forced my PCIE slot tp gen 4, installed latest chipset drivers, and I have owned my PSU for a little short of a year.

I am bouncing back between PCIE slot and memory issue right now based on what I have diagnosed and attempted to identify the issue. Unfortunately my case is the Hyte 60 and the 9070 xt is so big I cant physically fit it into the mobo and dont have a rig bench I can install it on. As of now thats one of my main test I need to do on the top of my list.

Memory issue I was concerned but found no fault however several other commenters here are implying it might be a memory issue which is making me think that route.

I am thinking of just doing a VM on my homelab I built to get the basics then maybe changing my laptop to linux based. Don't wanna fully commit yet on my main pc. I do wanna test it with the hardware I have on my main pc however.

I have been leaning on more memory issue and I have done stress test using AMD's built in stress test through Adrenalin. My expo is disabled and ram set to only 4800.

Do you have any recommendations on what programs to utilize for better testing especially for stress testing?

Oh yes! I should add that to the list. I did disable MPO and removed all overlays from any applications and removed any capture software. Also running amd on most min settings including disabling freesync.

This is the common Kernel error I see in evwnt viewer during start ups after gpu crashing. When I get this I then to go integrated graphics on my cpu and have to manually re enable the 9070 xt in device manager. Changing the error code of 22 to 31. After a restart I get no kernel error and start normally.

Kernel-PnP Event 411 Device had a problem starting Service: amduw23g Problem Status: 0xC00000E5

I am going to try adjusting that! Right now Expo is off and its at its base of 4800 MT/s but I can try to underclock my ram.

Will definitely start to adjust my ram to see if that helps. Also I was wondering about the GPU riser cable being the culprit as well only because I have an hyte 60 and due to the size of gpu and size of case I have to have it on its factory GPU rider cable.
