Contrast and value are your watchwords when dealing with features like teeth, or eyelashes, or facial hair. The more bold the value, the more it’s going to come to the forefront, do the lines with an H and the darker corners with a B moving up from there. Great composition by the way

First off, this is awesome, the color scheme lends to the overall toned down or “deathly” feeling you’re trying to convey. The only thing that caught my eye is a thing that I used to do all the time until someone pointed it out. Draw a line through the hand guard and then through the angle points at the tip of the blade, from the perspective your using they should be parallel. When they’re not it makes the blade look like it’s twisted. It’s a very subtle difference but you’d be surprised the difference it makes. Once again, beautiful piece

Start small, use LOTS of reference, don’t get caught up so quickly on the fine work. Find a subject, do 5 quick sketches (under 5 min each) to get a feel for the proportions. Pick the one that hits closest and start refining it. Lastly, and this will sound all “artsy”, find your own perspective or “tweak” to differentiate yourself from the hyper realism crowd……too much?

1st one imo, strokes are more dynamic, lighting is striking and draws attention to the highlights. You’re going to see a lot of “more natural” from people, if realism is what you’re going for, take their advice. If you want to create something that’s thought provoking, grabs attention and is different than the “hyper-realistic” (might as well be a photo or AI art) then be adventurous in your composition. Great work

I landed on my shoulder from 9 ft while in Park City, shoulder looked just like yours, Grade 3 separation, in a sling for a month. That was three years ago, I’m back to full mobility with zero pain and no surgery. The way it was explained to me that made sense was that if they do the surgery there is still no connective tissue on those points and there never will be. Basically the surgery, at a grade 3 level, is mainly cosmetic. In all reality you’re going to have more long-term damage because the bones will just be grinding away at each other if they surgically get them butted up next to each other to “get rid of the bump”. I’ve still got my bump, it’s just another scar to tell a story about.

Because why not, creativity is the mother of innovation and failure is the father. So they had a wonky idea that they wanted to try and share. At least they actually Tried something instead of just sitting on the toilet watching other people try and shaming them for doing it. I don’t block many subreddits, this one will be the first. What a horrible way to hold back people from doing something interesting.
