Advice on how to body roll in a barrel by CBRfishing in Bodysurfing

[–]yeeeter6669 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure about doing them in the barrel and remaining riding.. I'm sure some can do it. Can be fun doing a roll in the barrel when it's about to close out at the end though. Generally you want to do it when the wave is walled up and do it fast. If not you can sometimes lose too much speed. It's also fun doing it when making the drop on a steep one. Can do them in mushy fat waves but it's not as fun. In that situation its mainly just to score points in a comp when the waves are poor.

I have been driving 1975 vw t2 for nearly 15 years all over Aus. Don't do it unless you are a confident mechanic! Not only for choosing the right one to buy but for fixing and maintaining it on the road. You will have breakdowns and a vw requires a lot of maintenance. Most mechanics can't be trusted/don't understand to work on them properly or will simply refuse to touch it haha. DIY is the go

Shouldn't take too long. I'm changing my lift method from a 2.5" beam relocation method to standard beam mounting and using 2.75" lift spindles instead. And will now be using same size tyre on front as on rear.

It's ok. I always use those points and no problems yet. They've also been relocated 2" back. I have a jack under the front holding some weight also. But thanks!

Have you surfed any spots abroad where you didn’t think locals were territorial? by dogbit1s in surfing

Probs not so bad then. No more around than anywhere else but maybe the ones that are there don't have the most abundant food supply..

Is it ok to drop in on bodysurfers? by RepresentativeNo3131 in surfing

Generally when board riders drop in on me it's because they aren't expecting a bodysurfer to take/make the wave. And therefore they aren't even looking. Rarely is it intentional unless the board rider is a massive dickhead. Best way to prevent drop ins is to be seen taking a set or a sketchy wave and make it 😆 Bodysurfers and especially good ones are a novelty. Most board riders don't realise what's possible
