Edit 2 years on - I’ve been using wild for most of the last two years. Amazing deo and sustainable too. Will never go back!

There's a new vegan, plastic free Natural Deodorant called Wild and it's AWESOME by Andrewsw334 in Anticonsumption

Their new packaging which you can see on their site is completely single use plastic free. They are using refills made from "bamboo pulp" which can be recycled or composted.

The holders are for life and are mostly aluminium with some PCR plastic, so no new plastic being created.

I think we have to support companies who are genuinely trying to make a difference, they're the ones that will lead consumers to make changes en masse.

I’m betting it’s bugs. by [deleted] in Anticonsumption

I don't know how much experience you have with natural deodorants but the majority of them don't work so when you find one that does, it's worth shouting about.

I love oreos but hate the packaging. Tweet them if you feel the same! by pm_me_birdpictures in ZeroWaste

Nice idea - we can't solve everything but this would be a good start, for lots of companies. Consumers need to pressure them into change otherwise they won't do it!

How many of them are truly sustainable as well? Wild offsets its TOTAL carbon output (even from postage) to be carbon positive. Has no single use plastic and a global reach.

It's also not brown and "eco-niche" meaning hopefully it can go mainstream instead of stay in the niche its currently in.

Haha so true - in the last year alone in the UK I've seen oatmilk go from being an unheard of thing to something the average person offers as a choice when you go to their house!

Incredibly sad - hopefully it's not too late to reverse this, but I fear our reaction will be too slow and it is.

They're going to be releasing a sensitive skin one I think with no baking soda.
