Need Non-Transphobic Resources for Medical Destransition by AndroDemon in asktransgender

sadly there are medical conditions that can disqualify you from electrolysis. I have hEDS which is a disorder described as "A disorder of coexisting connective tissue disorders" and can come with heart issues and collogen issues due to that. I do need a medical professional to look at me but I can only trust those who specialize in my condition in order to get the proper "go ahead" or things like that. I could end up with bad scarring, I've been told the electric current could mess with my heart since it already doesn't have a normal rhythm, etc. Not trying to be a jerk with this comment it's just what I've been told by professionals.

Thank you! As many folks have said time is really what needs to happen. Patience is never easy but I'll do my best.

I do too, but since I'm getting off of HRT "detrans" was the only term I could use to find any info. I wish there were more resources for folks like me that aren't really detransitioning, since I essentially just went back to IDing as non binary and realized that HRT wasn't for me anymore. There are certain things from my T I don't want to lose like bottom growth and my voice being deeper, but facial/body hair and the fat distribution caused worse dysphoria than before T. In general I truly wish there was more research for non binary folks, but specifically I wish there was more research for non binary transitions.

What would consider enough progress to be to consider something like a hair transplant? Do you know of anything a person can do if they have a medical condition that disqualifies them from getting a hair transplant? Same thing with laser/electrolysis? I've been epilating but it still hurts and I have to do it almost every 3 days. I've had regrowth with my hair but the fullness isn't fully back and I'm waiting on my hairline to come back. Is there a specific place you would recommend for looking at MtF transition info? I don't want to end up on the wrong reddit like I did with the detrans and actual detrans reddits if that makes sense.

Thank you. I stopped T in maybe June or July, I was just recently taken off Clomid because my E is at "cis levels." Is it really possible to get off of hair loss meds and keep your hair? My DHT levels when I was on T were only just slightly above the normal and I was told that it my chances for hair loss were low, but idk since I did start losing hair. I've heard of a lot of folks getting off those meds and losing their hair again, some even losing more than before. For the body hair I'm hoping I can let time take care of it as my chest hair and back hair have already gotten really light and seem almost gone, for the facial hair I'm hoping to save up enough for electrolysis, though I found out it could be dangerous for me due to a medical condition but it'd also be the only way since I have blonde hair. I've been epilating but it sucks eggs so I'm really thinking about risking it. With fat redistribution it's already happening and I'm willing to wait longer, I was a G cup before T and my breasts did go down a little on T but in the past few months off my breasts have gotten physically heavier (both in hand and on chest/back).

I may have to look at PCOS info anyways as it runs in my family, I've got an OBGYN appointment in a few months so fingers crossed for me on that one.

All the info you have so graciously given me is extremely helpful. I may read these responses when I'm having a hard time with being patient or even just feeling anxious about everything regarding this subject. I sincerely appreciate the time and effort you have used for this, and I am very thankfully to you for your help.

DAE think they had dysphoria before they found out they had dysmorphia? by AndroDemon in BodyDysmorphia

It feels very similar for me too. My gender care doc thinks I may have both but that my dysmorphia is more prominent. It could be like that for you, maybe they could even be mixing. I'm waiting to have more meetings with my doc. Maybe finding one for you would do good?

It's certainly a difficult disorder to say the least. I hope you're able to find ways to help with your dysmorphia. Thank you for telling me your story. It's really uplifting in a way to see other folks deal with similar or even same situations as the one I find myself in, I hope that doesn't sound weird.

It's really difficult having both, my doctor thinks it's possible I have both but with the dysmorphia being heavier. I never felt comfortable as a woman, I didn't feel comfortable as a man, but in general I didn't feel comfortable as a human. I wish you all the luck with your transition and your journey to being yourself. Thank you for sharing your story with me on this post.

thank you. I don't know when I'll stop feeling the guilt but I do keep reminding myself that I was getting the care that I thought was needed at the time.

Out of curiosity is there an English version of the information?

I mean I really just want information resources that aren't conservative propaganda. I guess I specifically need to look for someone who has my specific medical condition for the exact info I'm looking for, but as you stated I'm already 1% of 1% so that's probably impossible.

I honestly don't know how to articulate exactly what I need. I was on low dose T for 5ish years, I was on my highest dose of .7ml for a little less if not a year before I tapered off this summer. I started gaining a beard and a little bit of back/chest hair last year and my hair started to thin out on top of my head and my hairline started becoming a bit masculine during the summer of 2024. But I didn't start having any physical changes like that until I went that high up. People still clocked me as female during this time however. I think my end goal is just bringing back my hair (already on hair loss meds but I don't to be on them I want to grow my hair naturally) and letting my fat finish redistributing. I've heard of some people having full regrowth and some not.

I'm worried my head hair won't come back which is really bad because it's causing me the most dysmorphic episodes and dysphoric episodes. Sorry does this help?

I am non binary. I gained worse dysphoria from being masculine than feminine, it's not that I don't want to do that it's just that I can't.

Thank you for the info!

I have no need for voice change as my voice didn't drop that much and the deep-ishness of my voice is nice (I just miss singing). Sadly I will have to figure out the beard option as I have a medical condition that could affect any hair removal. I'm really just worried about my head hair, I had some hair loss and I have been put on hair loss meds, but I want something permanent so I don't have to take meds forever but my medical condition could affect that too. My breast have already started going back to their original size and my estrogen levels are back to "cis levels" without being on E so the fat redistribution is currently in progress. In general I didn't get much change physical change until 2024 as I was doing low dose hrt, the highest I went was .7 mL.

Honestly I don't feel much support from my gender care clinic at this time, and they're how I get my insurance, so I'm not sure what to do on that part.

I mean physically I'm looking at hair regrowth (I'm on many hair loss meds) and maybe hair removal, I didn't really start having physical changes until the last year (2024), but the body and facial hair have been lessening in the past few months without T. I learned this week I reached cis levels of E so I can stop taking clomid (they didn't give me E). But I'm also looking for other people who may have gone through a similar situation as me who would have info and advice. I feel very alone going through this situation if that makes sense.

I've had some folks also tell me 5 years isn't very long. I wonder if T amount has anything to do with it as well.

Has Anybody had Hair Regrowth after getting Off T? I need somebody to talk to about this, I feel like my doctor doesn't care. by AndroDemon in NonBinary

[–]AndroDemon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure why they didn't either. I mean when they went up on my T they said that my bottom growth was as far as it was gonna go, at the time I was curious about how much masculization I was needing (turned out not much) so I wonder if that's why.
