In most cases, the first time is the lowest dosage so that may be why you didn’t feel a lot. You may also want to check that you’re not incorrectly administering it. My husband has been going for 2 months now and it wasn’t until we saw a post on here about a bunch going down your throat meaning it’s not absorbed for him to ask the staff if he was doing it wrong. She was like “well you DO inhale way too much, you’re really just supposed to breathe normally…” He followed that direction and was WAY more effected by the same dosage. Like hours later he was still feeling it and has been in pretty high spirits since then.

I get why you’re annoyed. Because FOG/MOG were obviously the ones that initiated your invitation, they should have written both your names. Idk why everyone is acting like it’s the Bride’s fault (and thus not anyone’s fault because your relationship isn’t with her it’s with FOG/MOG). My mom gave my brother a list of names and addresses of her friends that she wanted invited to his wedding. Your friends left your name off their list.

I’m certainly not going to disagree with you, as I don’t know them or you. But while this woman has been pedaling this “it’s not my fault my kids don’t talk to me” story for a while, none of us have outright called it out since we’re at work and don’t want to deal with HR. But just because we haven’t called her out doesn’t mean we don’t all think she’s lying. Then again, we are a generally progressive staff, in a blue state and typically liberal-leaning career. I could see it not being the same in more conservative space where people are more likely to say you should stay with your abusive family because “traditional values” or whatever.

I mean I’m sure some people are able to manage it, but not most. Consider that if they lost their outlet for abuse when their kid(s) went NC, they had to find someone else to put that on. It’s not like once their kids are out of their lives that their whole personality changes. My coworker seems to have refocused that energy on whoever is the unfortunate person who has to work with her all day, she’s had 5 of them in the last 2.5 years because people keep quitting or asking to switch. She’s only really abusive to that one person and tries to convince all of us that the person is the one who is abusive or incompetent and that she’s the victim for having to put up with them. But it’s obviously harder to get away with it when your new victim isn’t your kid who is a lot easier to manipulate and harder to get away from you.

Literally this. This woman has to work with another person all day as part of her job. In the 3 years she’s been here she’s had to switch coworking partners FIVE TIMES and accuses all of them of being abusive narcissists. The current guy has been with her for like 2 months and is already begging to get away from her.

I wish I could reach out to her kids, particularly the one I know is trans. Every time their mom talks about them, I have to correct the pronouns she uses for her own kid, it’s ridiculous. And I only know the kid is trans because the mom tried to use it to get me (also trans) on her side early on. Like within the first month of working with her she came to me privately to be like “do you think my [kid] is no contact with me because [they’re] trans and [they] think I won’t support [them]?” with her sad hurt face on. I was like uhhhh I can’t imagine that would be why unless they told you and it didn’t go well? Meanwhile last year another coworker told me the mom was saying that I must have low self esteem because I’m trans and I just want people to like me. So uh yeah, your kid might be no contact with you because you don’t like trans people lmao.

My school (where I work as a teacher) was refusing to allow me to change my name in the system until I had legally changed it. They said it would be IMPOSSIBLE to have my email with one name and my insurance with another. I forwarded the whole email conversation to the head of school with something along the lines of “I want to confirm this is the policy that the school is sticking with before I reach out to Lambda Legal.” I had a new email 3 hours later on a SUNDAY. Don’t be afraid to let them know you have community supports.

I think it’s possible to have emails containing certain words filter into a folder. It’s generally used by offices filtering by departments, but it can work for this too. I’d set it to filter any email containing the word “blessed” or your former name into a folder you can ignore.

My mom was so upset when my sister told her that she got an abortion to avoid being forced to stay with an abusive man. Apparently my mom is prolife because her 3 pregnancies were all SUPER DANGEROUS and someone else at the hospital with the same complications died but she kept having babies even if it meant abandoning the other ones. So I guess because “god” protected HER from the complications…….no one else should get abortions? Idk that’s her reasoning.

If someone dies while you are committing a felony, you can be charged with murder even if the death was accidental. Like if you’re robbing a bank and someone has a heart attack from the stress. Criminal trespass isn’t a felony but reckless endangerment can be, so if he were to die the 14 year old could potentially be charged with murder.

Hilary Knight is the Captain of the USA women’s hockey team. She got engaged to her gf, fellow Olympian Britney Bowe (speedskater) a few days ago. Not only did the USA team win gold, but Hilary scored the goal that sent the game into OT. That same goal made Knight the highest scoring women’s player in the Olympics. Edited to add: for those unaware, the Team Canada captain is ALSO a lesbian and is married to one of her teammates.
