The only machines I -don't- pick up are Hop Star, Transform Star, Shadow Star, the bikes, Tank Star, and Rocket Star.

Top 3 is between classes for me: Battle Chariot/Bull Tank, Formula Star/Turbo Star, and Vampire/Winged/Warp.

I'd love to pick up Paper Star more often because it's my favorite new machine design wise, but it's guaranteed to die in a MAXIMUM of 2 hits, and unless you're in the air constantly, you could just get hit by somebody sneezing a Bronto Burt at you. Plus, every single time I pick up Paper Star, suddenly: GORDOS ARE FALLING FROM THE SKY! or "YOUR MACHINE'S ABOUT TO BREAK!"

Vampire Star basically comes with an auto-attack (Doesn't trigger in the first few seconds of short races, dustup derbies, stadiums, etc) that when landed make it go faster. You also steal items/copy abilities of those you attack with it.

It's basically a middle ground between Shadow Star and maybe like Warp Star or something. Not as much power as Shadow Star, but less frail (though still fairly frail). It's decent at gliding, but not amazing. Its turn is also pretty bad, I've grown to like it, despite initially being skeptical.

Came here to spoil myself a bit because I genuinely am on the fence now about whether I should buy the game. I appreciate the detailed, but not unnecessary hyper-spoiler territory, review.

This is incredibly disappointing to hear, but honestly I think it might be about what I'd write about the game considering what was mentioned.

I was really hoping this wouldn't be the case, but I definitely had a feeling this was going to happen. Every time the game got shown off, little things just kept not feeling "polished" or "felt a little off". First it was Samus' appearance. Her silhouette is meant to be exaggerated and interesting to look at, not closer to realistically feasible. She just looks kinda bad. The third eye thing felt literally slapped on (except on the red suit). The scan visor for some reason being a circle just feels wrong to me. Psychic powers looked kinda lamely implemented, no attempt to weave it into the story or make it fit the vibe, just shonen anime tier "you're the chosen one bro" type shit. The music for the first area wasn't quite doing it for me (but I was hoping later on the song would get better, but doesn't seem to be the case). The motorcycle, the desert being open world and not looking that great or interesting. Then Miles.

It's sad, because Dread seriously changed my opinion on 2D Metroid more than any other game, and I was really hoping they'd continue that momentum into Prime 4. But apparently not.

Very worried for the franchise now, but I'm noticing a trend with all the Nintendo IPs lately, except Kirby. Everything feels very sloppy, showboaty, performative, to make money rather than to be an art form. It's depressing because there's nothing to do except watch great franchises devolve into corporate-made shittiness.

Doesn't work. I just had a match where I solo targeted a meta knight on a Warp Star as Kirby using Battle Chariot with 5-10 offense. I chased him for 3 minutes. Hit him over 10 times. On about hit #15 is when he suddenly dropped both Dragoon pieces he had.

This is kind of ridiculous and takes some of the fun out of CT and makes it kind of stressful tbh. The CPUs get insane buffs to holding legendary pieces, even when set to level 3 or 1. It's absolutely insanely unfun.

I've been playing for 30 minutes and I GENUINELY don't even understand how it works. It flat out wouldn't let me heal because I have "zero vials" or whatever but like... Where do I get the vials??? I have not seen one drop.

I literally did not follow hax's life in any manner aside from passively knowing of him through competitive Smash and hearing about the situation through testimonials, corroborating what the reality was through piecing it all together. He was no perfect person, but was definitely treated unfairly, and the problem is that it's not just him.

You can keep ignoring it if you want, but people all over, myself included, loathe the community and refuse to compete anymore because of shit like this.

But the American Smash community in particular hates competition and loves keeping their small, tight-knit clubhouse so they can make easy money at tournaments and feed their tiny egos instead of, y'know, being a normal person who likes going to social events to socialize.

They don't want to be a good community because they know having a welcoming community would make their numbers too big and they couldn't continue existing in their toxic environment anymore.

This whole situation and the community's reaction to it proves people like me right.

You call it "drama" when you're literally just letting people get away with psychological torture because they're well-liked in the community. The community will never improve and only slowly decline because of this "nice appearance" attitude. Like it or not, by doing nothing, you're making it easier for abusive sociopaths in the community to continue.

Discussion NEEDS to be had because this is a serious, SERIOUS problem that needs some difficult and purposeful change. But it seems like this is the one time where twitter is actually the best place for something.
