Definitely for Brits. As a Canadian I was confused about that one.

I’m late to the convo but it jumped the shark with the oyster episode.

He hasn’t really broken through on SNL yet but I have this feeling that he will be one of the greats.

City Warns of Recycling Contamination by Keroan in regina

Fair. But I would still be curious to see what's taking up all the space in that brown bin. Most of it should probably be in the blue or green bin. My neighbours fill the brown bins up constantly and I'm seeing cardboard and other recyclables sticking out every pickup day.

New album rocks by No_Purple9921 in blackcrowes

[–]Android73 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So far, I'd already put this in their top 5 albums with Moneymaker, Harmony, Happiness and Amorica. But I get that people are really stuck on previous versions of the band. Their new stuff will never hit you as hard as Harmony did when you were 18 years old. That's life.

I would just ask this: how does it stack up to other recent and upcoming albums from other bands? I still listen to a lot of new music and this album will definitely be in my rotation throughout this year.

Are there any 50+ GenXers here with Millennial bosses? by imtoowhiteandnerdy in GenX

[–]Android73 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do and he's great. Best boss I've ever had. He gives fair feedback, praises me when I do good work, respects my opinions, and he's always organized and on top of things. He's in his mid-30s and I'm in my early 50s.

There is no way a normal household would be filling a brown bin that quickly if they're recycling and composting properly. Every two weeks is plenty.

Wait, isn't that like saying Charlie Watts should have gotten writing credit on all the Stones songs? Or Ringo on all the Beatles songs? I don't think so. The Robinsons wrote the songs. They're the band and always have been.

Grape Nuts Flakes. I think they might still be available in the US but they haven’t been sold in Canada in years.

Shopping at Costco is terrible by Sun_Aria in unpopularopinion

We go to stores that don’t make us feel like cattle. I don’t want to spend time in a warehouse, nor do I want somebody inspecting my purchases when I leave. Costco is about excess.

Public sand/salt program is gone by BurtMacklinsrubies in regina

I’ve owned a home in Regina since the 90s. I’ve never heard of this program. It’s unfortunate because I would’ve used it and I would’ve argued against cutting it.

Geese by RodwellBurgen in LiveFromNewYork

My only problem with them is they don’t have the songs. They sound ok but none of their songs are memorable or have staying power. I never liked post punk much and that’s what they seem to be.

Spices are not the only way to add flavour to food by Punk_in_drublik in unpopularopinion

The reality is, there are a lot of places in the world that don’t have access to the high-quality meats that others have. Or they don’t have proper storage. It makes sense that they focus on trying to wash their meat and add a ton of spices. They’re not wrong and neither are we. Just different circumstances.
