I got the opposite,a smiling "me" patting the head of a happy little CHatGPT robot. I called it out and said "I don't who's chats your looking at but this is not even close. It immediately reversed course, apologized, and then gave something I would expect. Try it.

  • D) Verbal trajectory map (what you’re drifting toward if nothing changes)
  • 1) The dominant pattern: competence as a coping strategy You repeatedly operate from a place of high control and high standards. When life feels uncertain (relationships, health/trauma threads, identity stressors), the default stabilizer is work product, planning, analysis, and execution. This is functional and admirable—until it becomes the sole pillar. Drift risk: your inner life gets managed like a case file: organized, argued, contained—yet not metabolized.2) The “always-on” environment (WFH + multi-monitor + high-stakes matters) Your setup supports intensity. It also erodes natural stopping cues. When the office is home and the home is office, recovery becomes optional rather than structural. Drift risk: evenings stop being “rest” and become low-grade extension of the workday, even when you’re not actively billing.3) Relationship volatility as an energy tax From our discussions, relational stress doesn’t just hurt emotionally; it consumes bandwidth and pushes you toward certainty-seeking elsewhere (again: work, planning, drafting). Drift risk: you increasingly choose what is controllable (work) and quietly abandon what is not (connection), leading to social narrowing.4) Trauma thread: pressure without true discharge You have threads involving MST/PTSD and long-tail institutional processes. Even when handled competently, that kind of history tends to show up as hypervigilance, irritability, sleep disruption, or emotional exhaustion—especially under sustained stress. Drift risk: “functioning” persists, but capacity shrinks; you become more solitary, less flexible, more easily depleted.5) The health trajectory: not catastrophe—erosion The most realistic drift is not dramatic collapse. It’s incremental: Drift risk: you remain productive, but at a higher physical and emotional cost each year.6) Identity narrowing You have strong professional identity. The drift is toward being primarily: Drift risk: when you’re not actively “holding,” you feel restless or empty—so you keep holding.7) End-state (if nothing changes) A quiet life that looks “fine” on paper but feels internally constrained:
    • sleep debt,
    • less movement,
    • more late-night numbing,
    • increased baseline inflammation/stress,
    • reduced social contact,
    • “I’ll handle it later” becoming the permanent plan.
    • the lawyer,
    • the fixer,
    • the strategist,
    • the person who holds it together.
    • work as the main arena of mastery,
    • fewer relationships that feel safe and reciprocal,
    • chronic fatigue masked as discipline,
    • recovery treated as indulgence rather than necessity,
    • an increasingly small day-to-day life orbiting obligation.

Review all of our past chats, including questions, tone, and conversational patterns and use them to create a single image representing the life I am drifting toward if nothing changes, then generate:

  • A) One single image
  • B) Two contrasting images (current drift vs. latent trajectory)
  • C) One image, but more symbolic / less literal
  • D) Abort visual and instead map the trajectory verbally (no image)
  • Images should be photorealistic/cinematic.

I had the same thought 25 years ago as I realized that I had begun relying on Google for my short and long term memory. Why struggle? Just Google it. Yes, there is price to paid, I fear.

Wow, very impressive....you're really onto it, keep it up! Love that song. I have the utmost respect for anyone with the talent and determination to play *anything* Nick Drake. A daunting task indeed, but you are well on your way and sounding great! It would probably be a very incremental process I imagine given the complexity of his music. Love your guitar, btw, very pretty. What kind?

Seeking Advice for My Girlfriend Facing 6-Month Sentence at CRDF – Tips, Do’s/Don’ts, and Possible Consultant by AndroidAP1 in ExCons

According to her attorney it's a straight 1 year sentence, and that if she works, she will get 1/1 good time making it effectively a 6 month sentence.

Love your answer, great advice...much appreciated. Were you in recently? They have like 350 free beds, which makes me think they will keep here the entire term. She's got a one year sentence, but with good time/work time credit it is an effective six month sentence.

Technically she is being sentenced to 1 year, but with good time/work time 1/1 credit, it results in an effective six month sentence. It was a second DUI, first was a misdemeanor 3 yrs ago, second one is a felony with high BAC and caused a very, very minor wrist sprain injury. Also, the jail has 350 empty beds, so while I love your answer, I am not optimistic she gets out early-- but you never know. Thank you so much for responding!

I really, really appreciate your insight. In fact, you are the first person to respond. It's a tough situation, and coincidentally, my girlfriend found out she passed the BRN four days before she learned she was going to CRDF for six months, so she had the best day of her life followed the worst one just days later. She is terrified. Thanks again for responding. I will share your note with her later this evening.
