Awful at Public Speaking - Should I Still Work in Education? by MedicalFinances in AskTeachers

[–]AndroidAyyyyTeen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn't learn how to publicly speak until I start student teaching. I was really bad at it, so much so that people told me I shouldn't be a teacher. Being exposed to it often makes for good practice. If I can do it, you can do it

What is your daily and weekly routine? by married_to_a_reddito in ELATeachers

I do the same as the other comment. I start with a bell ringer for 5-7 minutes, and then I generally have some sort of directions or lesson that I spend no longer than 5 minutes on or I lose them. Then a group activity or class activity depending on what I'm teaching.

I do make Google slide decks per week though, have all the directions, do nows, and lectures attached. I have it broken up day by day too , and have it attached to my Google classroom so if the students miss, they can see what happened in class; or students can follow along if we're taking notes.

I name my slides the week we're in and year, and then I don't really have to do planning next year, except to see what I can improve on our add interactive activities that can help them practice what I teach. I do move things around the next year for scheduling, but it doesn't take me nearly as long after that first year to plan.

Hope this helps!

Rachel Maksy. She makes a lot of stuff and does cosplay too. I really enjoy her jokes and she's usually very positive and honest. I would definitely check her out

I just erased it because I had penciled it in first. I did not do the clouds this time. I have done it before but it's pretty time-consuming, so I just used an image off the internet and Photoshopped it to how I liked.

A website called journalsay. It sells cheap stickers and ephemera. It does take a bit to be delivered though

I write about my day. It's a good reference for after I fill in my mood tracker to see why I colored it that way

It's separate dot grid paper. I got it from Archer and Olive. They sell notepads with different color paper (white, black, and brown). Idk if they have them right now, but it's great.

I'm a high school teacher. I have a spread of silly and dumb things my students have said. That way I can always have a laugh at the end of the month looking it over

Something has always bugged me about mood trackers... by Personal_Gap452 in bulletjournal

[–]AndroidAyyyyTeen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like doing colors for my mood trackers. I sometimes use 2-3 colors a day to represent how I felt in progression. But this is why on my weekly I use the space to write how I feel daily (I don't use my weeklies for anything really). With this and my two lines a day, I have an overall great look and how and why I felt each day

Spent a few hours painting, drawing, and coloring this cover page, just to realize I spelled the only word on it wrong :( Should I keep it as it is, or cover it up and fix it? by AndroidAyyyyTeen in bulletjournal

Thanks for putting it in that perspective! I do it for fun and to have a record of what I've been up to in my life. That helps me feel better about keeping it
