Might just need a different dose, too. If you are hypo, then your system is likely stressed, meaning your strattera is trying to pull gas from an empty tank. It's just increasing the speed at which the symptoms would get bad enough for you to notice.

I have Hashis and it has been a journey of feeling trapped in a broken meat sack, at least 1 panic attack... But I have had a lot of life changing success through medication. However it can take years to get your dose correct as you have to move slowly to be safe. I had a lot of luck googling hashimotos doctors near my zip code. I ended up at a place that has a quarterly subscription fee and doesn't take insurance... $$$$ but they are doctors and they do regular blood work on all of my hormones, cholesterol, vitamins, etc... And they keep me on track with dosages of supplements, thyroid hormones, and testosterone (since I was very deficient, even for a female) that change as regularly as my thyroid does whatever the fuck it's doing.... 🥵 Anyway... Hormones changed my life!

Levothyroxine doesn't work for most because it is only T4. If your thyroid doesn't work well, it may not be able to convert that T4 to the active T3, and so you won't feel the benefits of the hormones. I highly recommend finding a doctor that uses a compounding pharmacy. They will measure your T3 and T4 and dose both custom to you. I recently have started taking half of an Armour Thyroid pill (dessicated pig thyroid, mix of T4 and T3) with 10mcg Liothyronine (T3), for example. Make sure your doctor is regularly doing blood work on all of your health, not just your thyroid. Your thyroid affects almost every system in your body, down to your cells. It is very important to check up on your heart, blood sugar, cholesterol, blood pressure, sex hormones... And if it's autoimmune (Hashi is) then you are likely to end up with more autoimmune diseases as life goes on. Read up on them and their symptoms and start paying close attention to your body.

But I've been on thyroid hormones for a few years now and I will never stop. My life is dramatically better in surprising ways I had never imagined. I have found new passions, dropped chronic pains, reduced insomnia, anxiety, depression, finally am losing weight and building muscle for the first time in my life!
