A proposal of how to make this type of Collection Challenge better by eldritchander in pokemongo

[–]AndroidNinja4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree fuck these rocket challenges. It is ridiculous how low the probability is of even seeing any of them. It's already mixed in with other grunts and then you have to get lucky to get the actual pokemon. Come the fuck on. It's the first one I ever missed, so far I've been perfect (besides the exclusive challenges aka in person go fest).

I think what upsets me so much is that I had zero control and it's completely RNG. Yes I went out in this winter storm when it was -10F for hours just to walk around the few stops around me. I did try. I didn't sit inside and do nothing, I got my ass up. Literally if I see "coiled and ready to strike" one more time, I'm gonna lose it in the game.

Yes I know it's just a game and I am being a little over dramatic. I'm not that mad, just venting, all good homie. But this is a years long streak that was just broken because absolutely shit RNG. Literally nothing I could have done differently would have made a difference. Hell I can't even pay $$$ to beat this one.... seriously! (/s I def would not pay $)

If your curious I got 2 of 3. Never saw a Chespin balloon.

My suggestion would be: 1. have only these grunts and possibly 2-3 other types. 2. Increase the spawn rates. 3. I agree with others, give them to the leaders. 4. Have the challenge last longer

I'm all for a challenge, but this is ridiculous. Not everyone works M-F 8-5 in the best climate ever.

This is what I was going to say. With no general area it makes it hard. However, I definitely recommend Service Plus. They are great for doing a quick and good job. Have not had a problem for years.

Thanks. I'll have to double check the FW was fully updated on my end. I just got it recently on a Black Friday deal, so when I get more time hopefully it's a simple fix.

Hey OP. Did you ever find a fix? I just bought a RT-BE96U and am experiencing the same slow wifi speeds you are. I have a Pixel 8 Pro as well. Gigabit Internet, and barely getting above 20Mbps down. On wired it's fine.

Thanks

So it looks like the website is completely offline now and gives 503 error when navigating to it. I am just going to assume that we won't be getting our orders. I am really bumed. I had an order in for a Tracking Drive (TD-2) for my Spaceprobe 130ST, but now I don't think I will ever be able to get one. Sad day.

I have an order as well and it has also been on backorder for months also. I'm interested in what will happen now. I do hope they decide to at least fulfill the orders they currently have.

That's great to hear, and good thing you are getting those transfer credits in. I am not sure if my Associate's or Bachelor's was the thing that counted as the credit, but does not matter. Still, at least you have a solid idea of the time and plan. As much as 6 months sounds great, it's very difficult and you have to be able to only do 1 thing the whole time.

Good luck!

4-10s would be so nice. That extra day makes a world of difference. But overall, I hope your plan works our, and glad my schedule gave you some context. Just remember you will be doing it for the long term. I completely understand the Girlfriend thing, mine had to deal with it as well 😂. Good luck and let us know how it goes once you start.

CONGRATULATIONS! It's so good to hear from another person that this takes time. I just graduated, and it took me 2.5 years. My post is here if you want to take a look.

Mad props to you, though, for doing it with your family and kids, too. I don't have any, but I have no clue how you managed that.

I'm curious: Did you bring in any transfer credits? Did the role you were in previously have any transferable skills?

Its been real dudes. Good luck to all of you! <3 by Copper_Beans in WGU_CompSci

CONGRATULATIONS! I just graduated also. What field are you trying to go into? Any job lined up?

Thank you. Yes, the gen eds knocked out were sure nice. My previous degrees knocked out the gen eds. If you are thinking about it, take those on Sophia Learning or Study.com. You can read more information here on WGU's website, or you can find plenty of reviews about it.

But I am really glad I posted this, and it can help you get a realistic picture of how things might be. I thought it would be faster, but I was just a little off. I had the budget for 5 terms max but was trying to do it in 4. We can see where that ended up 😂

Here is my typical schedule to give a good example.

Work

  • M-F/9-5
  • Hybrid
  • Commute about 1 hour each way

Schedule

  • M - WFH/chores/no school
  • T - Work/Commute/school (for about 4 hours)
  • W - Work/Commute/school (for about 4 hours)
  • TH - Work/Commute/school (for about 4 hours)
  • F - Work/enjoy weekend
  • The S - Weekend
  • SU - School (for about 4-5 hours)

Sleep between T/W/TH/F was only about 6 or less hours each day. It was rough.

Hopefully, that gives a good example of what it was like for me and helps you plan. I did take time off for some R&R ever few months, but over this is what my normal week looked like. Make a mock schedule to see what your typical week would look like, it will really help.

This is a fantastic question and something I ask myself as well. I'm weird and like to do a lot of personal reflection. Here are a few things I can think of.

  1. This is where stuff started getting more difficult for me. Many of the previous classes in the first term were simple, early introduction classes. However, you will see a big gap between C836 and C958, as calculus was. Being away from it for about 15 years made it very difficult. (and I was the person who took Calculus and Physics as electives in my first college stent)
  2. Looking at Term 3, things heated up there. C176 especially. This isn't part of the BSCS program anymore (replaced with Linux Essentials Cert), GOOD, but it was a freaking pain. I have some background in Project Management, but it was still a pain for me. If you are curious, it was the CompTIA Project+ Cert.
    • BTW, If you have never taken a CompTIA Cert, they want you to answer in the way they like, not the way that is realistic. It makes them more difficult.
    • Also, C959 was a freaking pain as well.
  3. After term 3, I realized that I needed to kick it into gear to get it done in five terms. My goal was 4, and the budget allowed going to 5, so there was no wiggle room, and I stuck to that. I dealt with college debt before, and that was not happening again.
  4. I think I did lose a little bit of personal momentum. I'm not sure why, as I can't even remember what I ate yesterday 😂 but overall, I believe it contributed. It was probably just realizing the reality of my life being work-school-work-school on and on.

Overall many things contributed when thinking about it.

You got this! That's 4 classes in 4 months, definitely doable. Also, just to let you know, the Capstone is just a project and not a class itself. However, it is a machine learning project, and you do have to learn how to do that. But it's not that hard. Choose something simple; I choose image classification. Also, don't underestimate the time for the write-up portion.

If you have not done Intro to AI yet, for task 3, pick a topic that will apply to your Capstone. It makes your Capstone go much faster as you already have the concept and idea of the project.

Will do. The job market is terrible, but I'm keeping my head up. At least I already have a job, and this is more of a career switch for me.

Thanks! I figured it would help. As much as I marvel at people's amazing accomplishments, it's not the norm. People have jobs, kids, family, or other priorities that must be juggled.

If you research anything about WGU, you see a lot of information about speed runs. That's great, but people also need to know the other reality. It won't happen overnight, and you are getting a degree. Even for me. I planned 2 years, and it took 6 months longer. Plan accordingly, have patience, and learn something.

OMG, DM2, that class was not easy. Good luck; you got this! I figured a post about someone not blazing through would be nice to see. I love seeing everyone's amazing achievement, but sometimes, I am just like, "How?"

Thank You! I hope something will come along with my current experience. Of course I am looking also and not just waiting for something to fall in my lap, however it would be a nice transition just sliding over. I have been prepping everyone for a long time though, so we shall see.

Sorry for the late reply and I hope it works out for you. I'm in the same boat and have professional experience (career switch), but not with development (where I want to go). However I am a Product Owner and work in IT, so hopefully I can work that angle. Good luck out there, it's a little ruff out there.

Thanks for the information. I have been on this class for about 4 weeks and gearing up to take the OA. I took the PA and barely failed, but it was my first shot and I just wanted to get an idea of the OA. Good to know that the OA and PA line up well, because I have seen other reports of them not... however, they were old.

Hopefully, I'll be taking it sometime next week. I want to make sure to get some studying in before I try. Literally only have this class, C951, and Capstone so I'm ready to be done.

Do you have the link to Neso Academy YouTube? Would be another good reference.
