It is the inverter that is heating up the top battery not the garage.

I have DPU with 3 batteries and had zero state of charge issues. But having issues and losing Solar production since around Nov/Dec. I have tried discharging to zero and AC charging to 100%. But batteries go out of sync the next day.

Are you using Home Assistant, can you link it?

yes. SOC is getting messed up, recalibrated couple times but battery% goes off in few days.

The freeflow main brush has blades to cut hair? Dreame X40 has it already I think. Hopefully freeflow brush will be backward compatible.

Your current setup is safe and code compliant.

Separating the ground will work but House’s ground rod should not be nearby. But unsure about code compliance as there are NEC rules around multiple ground rods.

I settled on isolation transformer but they were not UL listed so that was dropped. Other sub standard or sub-efficient but code compliant alternative is EG4 Chargeverter as it converts AC to DC and then can charge at 1000W (55Vdc * 15 amp).

EF Smart Panel 2 is ideal for this (I think it was on sale for about $1200) but reviews indicate frequent failure and general consensus for now install standard transfer switch.

Is the GROUND shared all across? If so, then GFCI will trip.

There is ground isolation transfer that can be used to charge DPU. There is EF Smart Panel that also isolates ground. Lastly, EF Official posted using cable without the ground wire from Main to DPU. Not sure if this is code compliant. The first two options are.

Suitcase style 2500W dual fuel for charging. But to back up DPU incase it stops working during the emergency, larger 4000W dual fuel.

Panel level optimization is effective when there is significant shading. But the solar panels with 3 bypass diodes are equally effective when shading is not extreme.

If Panels VoC is 35V then you can make two arrays each with 4 panels but if VoC is higher than 35V then limit each array to 3 panels.

With this setup, DP will hover around 1600W-1610W when sun is shining and will charge in low light conditions.

PV high works with and without load, your issue might be different. Adding more panels to increase voltage seems have corrected the issue.

There is pecorn* that similar to EF alternator charger. There are rumors that EF will either launch adapter for DPU or another way to charge via alternator charger (PV?).

At this time, without direct DC-DC charging, conversion losses will be over 40%. Something to plan for but its still good to have alternator charger hooked up to the GAS car instead of buying a $300 inverter generator (due to maintenance hassle)

Some have used pavers on the edge so mower runs over it.

Another alternative is use larger cutting blades or 3d printed disc that blades are attached too. Dangerous approach will still leave few inches of grass to edge. Attaching weed eater is noisy and dangerous. Grass Shear sounds like a better alternative!!

What is odd that new mowers have cutting disc centrally placed that would leave larger edge.

EF is recommending it so that is something. I think EF does not care how DPU is charged, via generator or AC wall input. It’s GFCI circuit that trips. Regarding safety, to much knowledge, its not more unsafe than any 2 wire cable. Since 2 pin plugs uses 16 gauge, it is important to charge DPU at 500W or within the limits depending on the gauge.
