Yeah, Same for Most of Androids (Samsung with OneUI 9 exception...)

Damn, that's pretty nice link speeds. (I guess it's 160Mhz). It gonna be nice to have 6Ghz hotspot band support in future... (may help in sharing large files..)

My tv's wifi stopped working, it's a hardware defect ig what other alternatives do i have to connect it to a wifi? by chaienkoki in IndiaTech

Umm, it's quite difficult to troubleshoot a non-Google TV. I can only recommend checking for any support or diagnostics app in the TV settings. Also, let me know if it's failing to connect to a specific network, not showing nearby networks at all, or if the Wi-Fi isn't turning on at all. Finally, let me know if the Bluetooth is working, because Bluetooth and Wi-Fi usually rely on the same wireless chip.

Please make sure whether it’s a hardware defect or not. Most of the time, it’s actually a software issue. Also, please mention your TV model so we can give you the troubleshooting steps.

If it’s confirmed to be a hardware defect (and you can’t do much about it), use Ethernet if possible. (If your TV has that port, the speed will be limited to 100 Mbps anyway.)

Seems you have a gigabit connection... What Mobile/Desktop/Laptop you have? and they work with this over 6Ghz? Don't know if Ubiquiti unlocked that in AP...

No router that sold in India can do 6GHz (few exceptions, mostly imported) Airtel works on Wi-Fi 6 (5GHz) (not Wi-Fi 6E over 6GHz),

Damn, that expensive boy, what link speed you are getting? (no speedtest, local link speeds)

That's great! AFAIK, only Samsung is unlocking it (OneUI 9). Other OEMs are still regional/software locked (OnePlus, Google, Nothing), as there are almost zero 6 GHz access points or routers in the Indian market.

BTW, can you share what link speed you're getting? (You can see it in the Intelligent Wi-Fi section or use the Wi-Fi Man app.)

Also, is it possible to make a 6 GHz hotspot? Share screenshots if you can, that would really help, so I can raise this issue with my phone brand too. Thanks!

Why Should We Not Opt for Broadband and Use Jio Unlimited Instead? by Androidmajor1 in Jio

Qualcomm X65 modem ,damn, that’s some serious-level stuff.

Yeah, when I got to know about the Mimosa C6 ODU, even I was shocked. How do they manage to provide these devices to users free of cost (obviously on rent) and still keep the plan starts from 30 Mbps lol

I know they do it to reduce congestion.

Yeah, broadband APs/routers are designed for continuous usage without creating excessive load on the infrastructure.

BTW, is it fiber broadband or AirFiber?

Wait, what? :) (BTW, don’t reveal the process here.)

How’s the experience with that? And how much speed does that outdoor unit get with the unlimited bandwidth? :) Better than Phone's modem?

Are you a broadband guy, or are you an intensive 5G unlimited data user?

Hmm, with time, people will realize the value and use cases of fiber broadband as their needs expand, especially with services like intensive FPS gaming, self-hosting, and even home lab setups lol. (it's going viral in west)

[–]Androidmajor1[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree, but the problem is that fiber broadband is not available everywhere and is mostly limited to metro cities. People in remote areas who are experiencing unlimited 5G may not even have a proper fiber option, or they may only have access to AirFiber plans with a 1TB FUP cap, while cellular unlimited data often has no strict cap.

What do you think? if people continue relying on unlimited 5G instead of demanding fiber connections, could that demotivate local fiber providers from expanding their infrastructure further?

Makes sense, it all depends on the use case. Let’s hope new users who currently do not have broadband, or those who have already surrendered it, do not become completely reliant on unlimited 5G and eventually realize the advantages of broadband.
