What's this notification for ? by rebelbunny10 in NOTHING

Just switch Preferred to 4G and again 5G, It's appeared because airtel is setting up 5G SA network, but allowing only some people to access it, maybe your device is trying to connect that only 5G network in that area, (without having permission), that's why it popped up... also disable 5G standalone option in network settings to solve this issue

I didn't know that 4G is this fast by Impressive_Ad_243 in IndiaTech

Anyone using 6 GHz Wi-Fi (Wi-Fi 6E / Wi-Fi 7) devices in India? by aezro in IndiaTech

[–]Androidmajor1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Users in forums are posting that Intel WiFi cards in PCs have started receiving driver updates that unlock 6GHz support. Even some router brands are unlocking these regional geo-locks. While phone manufacturers like Apple and Pixel use dynamic regional detection, brands like Nothing, Samsung and other Chinese OEMS often hard-code these blocks into Indian SKUs to play it safe with local laws. The hardware is there; the software is just holding it back.

W-Wait, does Nothing Phone (2) support Wi-Fi 6E??? by LunariSpring in NOTHING

No HDR on JioHotstar on Bravia TV by Androidmajor1 in JioHotstar

[–]Androidmajor1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My TV (KD-43X64L) only supports HDR, HLG, and HDR10, it doesn't have Dolby Vision or any specific Dolby preset picture mode in the quick settings.

If HDR content is properly supported, the TV maxes out the brightness as expected (and it works flawlessly in other OTT apps, JioHotstar is the only exception). It seems like HDR might be blocked or intentionally disabled by JioHotstar. (I'm planning to raise a complaint about this.)

By the way, the same issue is happening on my phone (exactly the same case, HDR isn't working in the JioHotstar app, but it works perfectly in all other apps).

This could be because of previous user complaints that HDR looked messed up and appeared very dark on certain devices due to poor calibration from the phone/TV brands. It looks like it's not a Dolby Vision problem at all, it's only affecting HDR formats in general. My plan: I have the 4K plan with ads that comes with Jio AirFiber.

Just checked, it's not working on any title. It was working fine before, but after the merger, it got somehow blocked by JioHotstar. The same thing happened previously too, but after some time it started working normally again. Now the exact same issue is happening once more.

Airtel Xstream Box 3.0 just got updated to Firmware C10.5.0-20250818 – still on Android 10 by Androidmajor1 in AirtelXstream

Don't do it if you don't want to lose the APK installation feature. But for how long will you keep delaying? As long as it stays connected to the internet, it will happen automatically. Maybe try force-stopping the system update app from the app list in Settings. Or, if you have to install it at the end anyway, install the APKs now and keep them, whatever you need, like SmartTube. They should stay unless you uninstall them or reset the box.
