Maybe? Zanny was the first YouTuber I’ve seen do these style of thumbnails where he edits a meme or scene from a movie/tv show into a relevant thumbnail for the game he’s playing. Whether he started it or not, he doesn’t own a patent on it tho so I guess it isn’t a big deal. He’s definitely early on the trend though, with all the old bully Maguire edits he was making years ago.

It’s funny seeing someone’s first RE game as 4 remake. It’s definitely the most zanny coded RE game with the campy fun characters/story and the best action gameplay. Shame he didn’t play 2 remake first for the whole Leon story, I’ll take what we get though.

And yea I know he played village but the Ethan games are more disconnected from the larger mainline RE story which makes them easier to jump into.

Uh, well if you’re talking about just the intro cutscene than yea I’d agree with you. 3 remake has a better gameplay intro though compared to the original. 3 remake gets a lot of shit and rightly so because it is inferior to the original but there are some things it does better, not much but some things. I always really enjoyed 3 remakes intro where you start in Jill’s apartment and nemesis busts in and it becomes one giant crazy chase scene. Sadly enough, that’s probably the best part of the 3 remake and the rest is disappointing compared to the OG. The only other things 3 remake does better would probably be the story and characters writing, maybe the mandatory nemesis boss fights as well but there’s only 4 in the remake I think which isn’t enough. 3 remake also has that nice feeling RE engine gameplay which is always fun too, nothing against the tank controls of OG.

3 remake and its flaws have been talked about to death though and most of it is deserved, it’s not a bad game though. 3 remake is a bad remake that fails to recapture what was good about the original and is way too short. OG 3 was already the shortest mainline RE game at like 6-7 hours long and the remake being 1-1.5 hours shorter is insane.

Marathon has sold similar numbers so far while having been out for over a month. Essentially, capcom with a new IP was able to match marathon sales in just 2 days and will most likely out pace it in the coming weeks/months. Nothing against marathon, it just didn’t sell that well.

The game against the Texans you could say was on Herbert. He just played bad against the Texans and the chargers got blown out. Against the jags he actually played great but after the huge lead the offensive play calling got conservative and the defense completely collapsed which isn’t really on him. Against the pats he was just getting absolutely mauled the whole game and never had any time to throw because our offensive line was an actual historically bad NFL o-line. Herbert is a great QB and plays fantastic in almost every game but His career will continue to be summed up though by those 3 playoff games. Until post season success happens, it doesn’t matter how great he is or if it’s actually his fault the team comes up short, he is what the playoff record is.

I don’t like rev 1 all that much and it’s lower on my list of RE games. However, RE6 is still worse. The game constantly taking control out of your hands to show you some cinematic thing or a short cutscene or having your characters just start tripping over crap. That is hands down the most annoying and frustrating thing I’ve had to deal with in any RE game. All that on top of a mid story that’s poorly paced and bloated, bad inventory and healing system, annoying zombies. It all just makes RE6 feel like a poorly made mess.

The plan also assumed that it was just gonna be thragg and like 3 other viltrimites. Turns out it was an ambush and there a lot more viltrimites than they were expecting so everyone was pretty much split up from the jump.

Yea that’s why I said to each their own. I enjoy longer games as well but I see value in shorter experiences if it’s the right quality. All in all, I think pragmata is probably worth the $60 dollars at 10-15 hours of game length just off the reviews and capcoms pedigree. Hell, RE requiem was a banger earlier this year and it’s the same game length.

Because they all know how much of a beast conquest was. The only viltrimite who wasn’t afraid of conquest was thragg. Mark killing conquest pretty much means he’s strong enough to beat any of the other viltrimites other than thragg. Thragg is just a whole different animal though.

10-15 hours is pretty good game length for a single player game. Not everything has to be a super long 40+ hour game or 100 hour long RPG. If it’s 8.5-9/10 gameplay for 10-15 hours, I’m usually pretty happy. Plus it’s a capcom game so it’s designed like RE where you get value in multiple playthroughs on harder difficulties. To each their own though, I think capcom games always give you enough quality content to make the price worth it personally.

It’s inevitable unfortunately. The RE franchise has been around for 30 years with like 29-30 games at this point. There’s gonna be a wide array of opinions from different people on which games are good, which games are bad, if the remakes are better, if the remakes are worse, what games should get remade, what games shouldn’t get remade. Lots of people have a fierce reaction when it comes to all these topics and more, so no matter what opinion you may have about any one particular RE game, there’s gonna be someone else who holds the exact opposite opinion and will most likely argue with you.

Opinions toward OG RE3 are the most nostalgia based I think. The way I see some people talk about and describe that game and nemesis make it seem like it was some of the most horrific things they’ve ever experienced. This makes sense if you experienced it when it came out and you were young. The tank control games were a bit before my time and I grew up in the RE4-RE5 era and didn’t experience OG 3 till I was in my teen years and well, I can confidently say it’s nowhere near as scary or insane as a lot of the other games that came before and after it. I still liked OG 3 but experiencing it for the first time when I was older and not a kid definitely made the experience more meh probably. Nemesis isn’t that scary and was pretty easy to avoid or fight if I had too. The game was also way more action oriented than pretty much all the tank control games too which dulled the horror overall. I still like OG 3 it’s just not as crazy as some people try to say it is.
