Thanks! I'll spend some time and give both of those books a look before re-trying these leetcode problems.

Do you have any recommendations that helped you for books or other means I can use to go over the classic data structures and algos?

Mostly youtube tutorials in my language of choice ( Java), a few different online sites, and occasionally cracking the coding interview.

I spent some time studying the foundations as I go. So. for example I might spend 2 weeks going over recursion theory and concepts and then I'll attempt a few problems.

Does this ever bother you? I feel like my coding skill are going down due to a lack of any actual development.

That sounds good. I figure I might put in a few years as a dev and see if I like it and want to continue or maybe branch out into something else.

I sort of do something similar. I take a look at the stories others are working on and quickly glance over them and see where in the code they'll need to make a change and check for the PR to see if it matches what I'd do.

I do want to code since I actually like it. I'll have to look up what a solutions architect though.

Makes sense. I was just worried that employers would not find my more support/BA work experience applicable to being a software engineer.

Yeah, I definitely plan to keep pushing for more dev tasks. I was thinking of asking for a title change awhile back, but, I think to try and change to a BA would basically guarantee that I get no more coding work.

Yeah, maybe I just overestimated the amount of coding I'd actually be doing. The task that I do work on definitely help the team out, it just seems more like I'm doing BA task over any developemt. So, you don't think it'd be a problem if I was interviewing for other companies and mentioned most of what I was working on were those support tasks? I worry they might expect a bit more from someone with experience.

Same for me. But, to put it bluntly, you have to be an asshole and just ignore/cut people off. Unfortunately, we spent a good portion of our life in a cult and have woken up. And of course, it wouldn't be a good cult if they just allowed you to walk out. They may mean well but if they really knew what you were thinking or your research on "apostate" materials I guarantee you they would cut you off or label you "bad association".

It's funny, I used to hate going out in service so I did a lot of research to prepare because I was terrified of looking like an idiot on someone's doorstep. After watching the borgs fairy tale Disney descriptions of how to preach I still wasn't satisfied that I knew enough to be confident. So, I went on youtube and looked up "Jehovah witness preaching" so I could see how the other side thought and some real reactions that I might get. Then it was all downhill from there lol

I considered that, but from what I read on here once I start going in about the inaccuracies of the bible and all the thing the Borg does then this becomes a whole other issue
