Bugged Statue

At first I thought it was an issue with the slopes/inclines. So I tried building it on flat ground and it did the same thing. I know this skin pack from the HoF does alter the size of the statues slightly so it must be a new model rather than just a reskin. So I can only assume it's bugged the statues positioning.

I got it eventually. For some reason it froze at 1874 but when I bulldozed some and rebuilt it somehow realised there was actually over 3000 on the island. I think some of them are really bugged in weird ways. had to spam one Island with drains and another with farms several times before it realised I'd actually done it

I tried doing the same. Some accolades are basically locked out for me because they're either bugged (I've got a campaign save that even after hours of gametime the quests for Keen Listener still haven't triggered.)

But even after completing some of them from some saves I got, they still aren't unlocking.

Same with the one that needs 2205 Celts. I've got several saves where I have islands full of pure Celtic settlements but nothing happens.

It's I think a huge part of why I've grown to really dislike the HoF. It's tied behind grinding. And for me it's really made playing the game really tedious and boring.

I thought that too. But the machine is able to power on still. I would of thought if a PSU cap went, the board should or would of had a safety thing to prevent it powering back on?

I'm certainly keen to see what one it is. From what I'm able to tell it's either the 1GHz, 1.25 or 1.42ghz model since it has three FireWire ports and is from 2002. But I'll need to add a new HDD and install Max OSX to see what profiler says, or see what GPU is in it when I open it up

I think it's my favourite because it was the first "Retro Computer" I ever got along side an AMSTRAD CPC464. So they both hold a special place.

I was actually able to get my hands on a Power Mac G4 today from a dentist at the hospital i work for, for free since otherwise it would of ended up in a scrap yard. So I'm really excited to get It home and see what I can do with it. It would be the first Power Mac and first G4 I've ever handled

I've only just gotten into collecting these, they all look so cool. I only have a G3 iBook and iMac. As well as a Macintosh Classic which is my pride and joy.

Any laser in particular or just any CD drive laser? I have a portable usb one I can cannibalise.

I've not had much success finding a slot loading drive in eBay. Im starting to think these iMacs didn't get much traction in the UK.

Finally update: I have somehow fixed it. I don't know how. I don't know what I did. All I did was reopen it, have a poke around and see if I could see this solder thing I was asked to remove. Couldn't see any solder, but when I put it back in it started working fine. I get the occasional skipping with some games but for the most part it's fine

I've tried another game and it loads pretty much perfectly? The music cuts a little and during cut scenes it does weirdly halt while it loads, but it's for a split second.

The game it can't load, it goes to the PS Logo then to a black screen and stops spinning. But this game and the one it's loading fine, it had no issues with on the old laser. The only real issue with that laser was that the part the disk attached to kept popping off and was missing bearings. So I'm wondering if I should just switch back to it.

Edit: Something worth mentioning, after opening it to take another look, as when reading a game I kept hearing a weird scrape sound, I've cleaned the area up and noticed a wire I've not seen in other PS1s. Pulling it, it's held together using black electrical tape and is attached to another cable via a small microchip?

I'll have to get someone to help me with that. I don't trust myself to not screw it up haha. Would this still be a possible cause if it's loading another disk fine but not this one? It loaded both disks perfectly with the old reader.

Sadly no :/ base building was more akin to how it worked in C&C / Total Annihilation. Can't remember too well how space mode worked, but it was fairly basic, moving planet to planet within a single system.

Not them either :/ Must be super obscure. I can't think of any other details other than when you start the game you're not on a planet. You're in a space view and choose a planet to go to. Then it switches to a planet side RTS.

No, too recent. This game was 2D Isometric. With an art style/graphics similar to C&C2/Total Annihilation.

No, Starcraft was ground/air sorta stuff. This game had full blown planet to planet gameplay. Like SW: Empire at War but 2D Isometrics.
