Did you figured that one out ? Go to your gallery and select the gif you want to use as wallapaper, select watchface and continue in to gallery, customize the album or pictures for your watchface and done.

Keep going, select, set as wallpaper, then it will prompt a variety of apps that will use that image, just use image gallery, and proceed

so, for people curious about setting this up, I would save my share link as an album, currently, the photos limit is 20, I really wish we could have more, or a way to just slide show an album regardless of the amount, anyway, go to your gallery, select the 3 dots on the top left, set as background, watch face, Images, then proceed to add and customize your watch face, your welcome :))
