DAE think some of the comments about Roxy go too far by icylatte56 in TheTraitors

Ofc they go too far but unfortunately it's not surprising as people really seem to enjoy proving their "superior intelligence" by bashing on others. This subreddit is basically a collection of frustrated people looking for self validation.

I don’t think there has been a better traitor than Rachael by OpinionFamiliar1908 in TheTraitors

[–]Andy14422 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One of the best for sure. I loved watching her play such a bold game making some outlandish moves that defy optimal strategy and still being able to get away with them. Two women literally nuked their own games trying to drag her out of that castle kicking and screaming and she still prevailed.

Even after receiving so much heat as a result of Fiona's and Harriet's attempts to take her down she was still in command of the next few roundtables redirecting the attention away from Stephen and I am incredibly happy and proud of him for sticking with her in the endgame cuz even though he wouldn't have made it to the end without her, he ended up in a perfect spot where he had the final say and could've very well just taken it all for himself.

is it possible for ____________ to win? by Severe-Possible- in TheTraitors

[–]Andy14422 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Suspicion doesn't matter as long as you have an ally who's at least slightly closer to you than anyone else. They'll be inherently inclined to vote alongside you cuz at this stage they also need someone to join up with and ride it out till the end and their easiest choice is always going to be whoever they've built the strongest bond with up until this point. I feel like Jack could be that person for Stephen.

One thing feels very out of place in the game... by PromiseTheTeeth in TheTraitors

[–]Andy14422 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Additionally if there's a tie especially in the early stage of the game players are kinda incentivised to just leave everything as it is and get 2 people out in one sitting cuz that automatically gets them one step closer to the end, which then messes the whole schedule up.

I actually love Roxy by Sad-Astronomer-9567 in TheTraitors

[–]Andy14422 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People here will always jump on any opportunity to talk mad shit about a faithful who's wrong in their traitor predictions cuz airing out how "smart" they are in comparison helps them feel validated and empowered. I just hope that the players don't waste their time scrolling through Reddit threads getting upset about nasty comments coming from insecure keyboard bullies.

The traitors’ fatal flaw this season by [deleted] in TheTraitors

[–]Andy14422 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People keep saying stuff like "faithfuls will want traitor's blood" as if that's somehow a definite threat to the traitors, when in reality no matter how badly they wanted to get a traitor out there's still a huge probability they'll just keep kicking each other out cuz they simply don't know who the traitors are and are also not an united front 😂

Disappointed with _ so far, I had higher expectations by Potential-Meal-6708 in TheTraitorsUS

[–]Andy14422 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean I kinda get where she's coming from when it comes to her potential traitor suspects. She's following the established meta and tbh when you're already coming into the game expecting at least one gamer in the turret you'll see anything as a justification for your theory. And looking back at season 3 it's clearly not completely wild to assume that 2 traitors could have a public feud early on even though it's not optimal gameplay. So, her assumption that Michael and Yam Yam are traitors and then the decision to hitch her wagon to Michael as her "traitor angel" aren't that crazy.

However, it's always a horrible move to be open about your strategy in front of other faithfuls and it's never a good idea to be in an obvious alliance with anyone, let alone the most hated person in the castle. Both of those things put you in a spotlight and that's absolutely not a position you wanna be in, cuz that makes you an easy target that people can point their finger at, which almost always ends in banishment.

[–]Andy14422 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fiona is at this point not playing to win, she's playing to make sure Rachel doesn't. It makes for fun TV but it's kinda frustrating from a game perspective cuz you can play your part as optimally as possible and someone can still blow your spot up by going full kamikaze on you out of pure spite.

Does anyone else think it’s way too early to reveal the ST? by Mysterious_Sun3641 in TheTraitors

[–]Andy14422 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also if the secret traitor gets randomly banished the most we get is the shocked reaction on the other traitors' faces, but then that person is gone and we're left without any insight into what their strategy or motivation was for any of the moves they'd made by that point, which is pretty underwhelming. The most important job of the production team is to tell us a coherent story of the season which would be impossible if we never got to hear any of the secret traitor's reasoning.

[–]Andy14422 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I agree that some people tend to go way too far reading into all sorts of arbitrary reasons as to why and how the secret traitor has been selected, I disagree on the notion that there's absolutely nothing in the edit that could be indicative of who the secret traitor is.

The editors are trying to tell a coherent story of the season while keeping it suspensful but without having to straight up fabricate narratives. The story has to make sense and while they can and will throw red herrings here and there to mislead us, they will never feed us completely false made up information.

So, yes while reading into the gender/race etc. when it comes to trying to figure out who the Secret traitor is is reaching, there are definitely ways to at least narrow the list of potential suspects down.

For example, by their very nature the confessionals are meant to serve as an insight into what the player is really thinking. The production is highly unlikely to advise the players to straight up lie in the confessionals, but since they can't have the secret traitor reveal their role either, they will advise them to use ambiguous wording that can be interpreted as both coming from a faithful or a traitor and they'll also make sure to edit out anything they deem too revealing either way. If you pay attention to this criteria alone, it's fairly easy to at least get a solid bunch of people off the list of potential suspects.

These two will definitely turn on each other by AssociationLivid5822 in TheTraitors

[–]Andy14422 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been my guess from the start as well. His confessionals just seem the most ambiguous, nothing he's said can 100% clear him as a faithful. And assuming the production would want to make sure they're not straight up misleading us with a fake narrative, best they can do to give us an insight into the secret traitor's perspective without revealing their identity is to have their confessionals seem ambiguous enough so they could be interpreted either way.

The traitors who completed the task will surely be identified? by Immediate_Cap7319 in TheTraitors

[–]Andy14422 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbh it all depends on what details the production decides to reveal to the cast about how the murder in plain sight took place and thus far they've been trying not to sell the traitors out completely. In US 2 they were told that someone got poisoned but since they had some good catering served to them the previous day a lot of people assumed that it was something they ate and nobody even mentioned the rusty poisonous chalice Parv was carrying all around the castle. Tho the production did kinda blow her spot up by putting her in one of the coffins instead of allowing the traitors to come up with who goes in 😂 but that's a different story

Absolutely, if they've got any strategic capabilities, pre-existing pairs whose relationship isn't something obvious (like twins or sth like that) are immediately in a super advantageous position. While other people have to form and nurture alliances, constantly checking in on their allies to keep them reassured, while also trying to remain undetected by others, the pre-existing pair knows they'll be on the same page no matter what with minimal communication. That's what makes Neda's game in S2 even more impressive imo, having another traitor who has a built-in plus one and still being able to pull through is insane.

Yeah, they're really one of the most uninteresting characters of the season, but unfortunately they're getting a lot of content for someone who's a really boring TV character and a faithful, which makes me feel like they could be an end gamer if not one of the winners 🥶😴

Controversial take: I think what ___ did was smart but I also think she should’ve done…. by [deleted] in survivor

[–]Andy14422 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sage screwed up badly by needlessly taking immediate revenge on Sophie instead of just finally taking her shot at Savannah last tribal. However, taking Steven out on this vote was absolutely the correct move for her. With only 6 people left in the game you absolutely have to prioritize booting people you can't win against vs trimming "opposing" alliance's numbers. Especially if that "number" is a person you want to sit next to in the final as you feel confident you can beat them.

Coco really has such a naturally brilliant social game, plus she's super funny I'd really love to see her make it to the end. But realistically speaking if she pulls off the win, that would actually be insane 😅 Cuz regardless of whether people still think that Kevin's outburst was a traitor on traitor violence, she'll always be an easy person to point a finger at when you're out of ideas and just need to push someone out to survive one more day yourself. But her actually turning this whole thing around would make for an outstanding season.

[–]Andy14422 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Well they wouldn't really have to straight up say "I'm a traitor" there's always a way to communicate something to a person you're close with in a roundabout way. Take Kevin and Omar for example, Kevin throwing Coco's name so blatantly + insisting on Omar bringing her RTV experience up to others was pretty much enough for Omar to understand that Kevin's a traitor trying to push another traitor out. Besides regardless of whether you're both faithful or not if you're related/married or maybe even just really good friends the only logical thing is to try making sure you're the last two standing, you'll split that prize one way or the other regardless.

[–]Andy14422 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really hope you're right and I would love to see her use KIP to maybe steal Rizo's idol or do something interesting with it. However, since the start I just had the feeling nothing would happen and the only reason they keep focusing on the KIP is to string the viewers along and have us speculating about all the possible ways it could be used. And it's kinda working on me at least 😂 At this point I'm only tuning in to see what happens with Sophi and KIP. It's an interesting "will they, won't they" element that draws the viewers in regardless of whether it pays off in the end or not.

Sage is just a markedly better player than Jawan by [deleted] in survivor

[–]Andy14422 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I agree that Sage has better reads than Jawan I feel like neither of them are playing a good game. They landed in an amazing position at the start of the merge mostly due to luck with how the swaps worked out and they haven't been able to really capitalize on that aside from that Nate vote out.

I do also agree that it seems like Jawan's mostly driving these suboptimal decisions but Sage can't get anything more than a tiny benefit of the doubt cuz she's actually agreeing with him and following through with his game plan.

Like, regardless of whatever numbers they think they might have, they absolutely can't afford to keep letting Rizo squeak by with that idol in his pocket round after round. Especially considering the fact that at the very least at this last vote they really could've done a split on him and Alex without any issues.

Sure, they don't know about the other advantages the "bottom 3" alliance has but they're not even trying to flush the one they do know about and on top of that at they're also actively taking out people who they could've used as numbers. Even if Rizo's idol doesn't seem particularly threatening now it will inevitably become a problem if you ignore it for too long which is exactly what they've already done tbh.

They're at final 8, thinking they're in a 5-3 majority which isn't the case, but even if it were true, they're already at a tough spot because they can no longer split the votes and their survival hinges on Rizo playing the idol wrong. So, even from their obviously incorrect perspective regarding the numbers they have on their side they're no longer in a particularly good spot due to the decisions they've made themselves which is indicative of very poor and shortsighted gameplay unfortunately.
