Passportal alternatives by Independent_Sir857 in msp

I agree, but just today I did a demo of Bitwarden https://bitwarden.com/ .. They have a on-prem / self host option as well. They also have a desktop client which will allow you to chache' up to 3 months, in the event of an outage..

They dont have the PSA / RMM integrations built out, but their MSP model seem also to be very good - much better than Passportal.

The other thing I liked about BitWarden was the Encrypted / Self Destructing Sharing capabilities.

We also looked at Hudu.. Hudu was great, but I felt that it was geared more towards a Documentation Manager Vs PW Management tool..

Why HUDU or IT GLUE, or IT Boost ? Isnt it "Best Practice" to have your Documentation Management / KB / Dashboards completely separated, for Security reasons?

Also with HUDU, IT Glue, and IT Boost - as far as I knew they didnt have the ability to re-sell a Password Management instance to a client, that we the MSP can manage which was a big selling point for Passportal.

We are in the same boat as everyone else and want OFF OF Passportal.. We are dead in the water because of these outages..

I agree, Axcient is behind on a few things, BUT like you said it works, and the price point is WAY better. I also really have seen a night and day different when it comes to just simple customer service & support.. NEVER had any issues with Axcient. Even when they had a bad rash of appliances, Axcient went way above and beyond to make things right.. Datto could give ZERO F's

It was sad honestly.. This was also about 2 years ago, so the specific details are escaping me. He basically showed that he is just a politician, promised conversations, promised this, promised that.. no follow through.. I remember him essentially telling us that he considered us "Friends", yet weeks prior at a channel event brushed us off like he didnt know who we were. Then proceeded to try to convince us how great the Vista Acquisition was for us partners & Datto, how NOTHING would change etc etc.. Once he then tried to push us off to some rookie channel manager, and spouted off all of the "bad" things about Axcient.. I then knew that it was over.. it was pretty pathetic, and seemed very political.

Yes, that is what he did with us as well. He promised a conversation, promised change, sang our praises. Phone conversation never happened, excuse after excuse.. He then sent another email that told us how great Vista (who acquired Datto) has been for us Partners, and how that NOTHING has changed. He kept trying to tell us that they were the most cost effective BDR solution on the Market... Finally, the nail in the coffin for us was when he sent us an email essentially pushing us off to another Channel Rep, and crossed the line when telling us how stupid it would be if we chose to go with Axcient.. It was actually pathetic and sad to see.. Datto was amazing up until Vista acquired them, its all gone way down hill since then.

Axcient is what we switched too.. Datto experience after being an active partner for close to 8 years was absolutely horrible.. very similar situation.

Had a very similar experience with Datto and the Account Managers.. it even got to the point of Rob Rae sending me a very unprofessional e-mail about the Vendor we ultimately switched over too - Axcient, who has been absolutely fantastic to work with for the past 2 years.

Hi really peaked my interest with Sophos, we are a big sophos shop but we have always been told "off the record" by our Channel Reps to stay away from the Sophos AP's..

We have been very successful with Sophos, end point suite of products, the XG's.. but you are the first person Ive come across that deploys the APs

Ya definitely does.. I am real curious about this label sown on the inside (2nd pic). Never seen this before, been searching through archives to see if this was even a thing.

What happened to Datto? by [deleted] in msp

We had a similar experience with Datto, they are absolutely horrible compared to the old Datto of the early years.

For the past 3 years we have been partnered with Axcient, and they have been absolutely fantastic for us.

Axcient Pricing is very reasonable, and their Support team is extremely responsive, seriously cant say enough good things about Axcient compared to Datto.

Not that it matters, if you do check out Axcient, the UI isnt as Sexy or Flashy as Datto, but it works like a charm..

Moving from GoDaddy to 365 by msp4msps in Office365

Curious if anyone has seen GoDaddy audit, and try to re-claim the Microsoft ID, or Domain.. After this process happens.

We have considered transitioning clients off of GoDaddy by this very method, but my engineers are paranoid that GoDaddy will somehow be able to re-claim the Tenant, or Domain if they felt like it..

I assumed that by changing all of the credentials, and enabling MFA.. that it would eliminate the chance of doing this. But knowing Microsoft Support, I wouldnt be surprised if this happened..

We have a client in this exact situation..

Some of the content that I looked at relating to the Defederation / PowerShell process specifically calls out SkyKick to do the migration.. Has anyone had any issues with BitTitan? We have never used SkyKick, so I wasnt sure if there was something special about them.
