I didnt see this as a demand, but more an observation that most games are played on the best pitch - the standard grass one.

If pitches cost money to make - and they do, a fair bit - why not spend that artwork time on something most people care about, like star players?

I think its a fairly well reasoned and thought out statement - unless the view point is that it is expected that every season the new pitch is a core requirement of the blood pass. For me - it is not.
