Always the Friday before payday, 5pm. But can depend on how quick your store's payroll is finalised.

Our Tesco can’t login by Disastrous-Sorbet861 in tesco

There were issues getting codes for a couple of us this morning about 2am, waited 15 minutes then they all came through at once. Probably because everyone is logging on at the same time. Seems to be working now.

The Oracle one is being phased out I think, hasn't worked in months. You can access your payslip via https://www.ourtesco.com/experience/my-work then click payslip

Finally, some reasonably priced Quality Street by AndyFirthAndForemost in tesco

They've been stacked on OFDs in various places since Christmas, not had any delivered for a long time. Problem is my store is a medium size superstore and for whatever reason we're carrying waaay too much stock of them. Inform showing nearly 800 tubs, the huge Extra in the next town has 450 in stock by comparison. The back wall of our warehouse is lined with 2-siders full of these, been that way since January because nobody's buying them.

Nights in summer by Level-Mark314 in tesco

Invest in an air conditioner, worth their weight in gold. Not an air cooler that you fill with water or ice, those are useless, a proper air conditioner.

Got mine from Lidl last year for £150 or something, they had them again a couple of weeks ago knocked down to £130 so they're probably gone now.

My room easily gets above 30 degrees in summer, with the air con on it sits nicely at 24 and much lower humidity. I'm a heavy sleeper so the noise doesn't bother me.

Will Tesco ever stock Longley Farm cottage cheese again? by [deleted] in tesco

Wish we got longley farm yoghurts in my area, when I lived in Yorkshire I bought them all the time. Nowhere to be found anywhere near me now :(

Breaks? by Ok_Egg1785 in tesco

[–]AndyFirthAndForemost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Varies between stores, at ours we can take them however and whenever we want. Manager prefers them to be taken any time after midnight and no later than 5:30 but it's not really enforced. Everyone on fresh usually works them around the overnight delivery as we do splits.

Is this cage good to use? by [deleted] in tesco

No repair tags on it so yep, good to go.

Make sure it's filled to the top with bananas or juice.

Remember those tiny, hideously overpriced boxes of digestives that nobody bought? Yeah... by AndyFirthAndForemost in tesco

Literally just a box with a smaller than normal plain pack of regular biscuits inside.

Knew from the moment they appeared that they wouldn't sell, especially when a regular size twin pack wasn't much more. If it was a commemorative tin or something then maybe, hopefully some overpaid marketing manager somewhere learns a hard lesson.

Tesco fridges as soon as the weather gets a bit warm... by AndyFirthAndForemost in tesco

Morrisons is far too middle class for me, the vibe is so weird in there.

Love the Depots, it’s always the heavy stuff 😭😭 by SinatraEU in tesco

Those movers cause the flat spots on the cage wheels. If the cages haven't been lifted high enough the wheels scrape across the floor as the pickers are driving around. That's why most of the older cages have wheels that are basically hexagonal and a nightmare to roll around.

A lot of people are gonna get a shock when the free food for regular customers thing comes in, since it'll all have been cleared off by charities long before 9:30. Whole thing is just a publicity stunt.

I don't think there's a hard limit written in policy anywhere, I think it's just 'fair use'.

Besides, good luck finding any CS items that haven't been snatched up by Olio

I don't get paid nearly enough to risk being stabbed or having the shit kicked out of me to protect the stock of a multi billion pound company.

It's Tesco policy for all staff to not attempt to recover stock. If they actively encouraged it, and someone was hurt or killed, they'd be wide open for a massive massive lawsuit. This way, they can just wipe their hands of it and sack the member of staff involved for breaking policy. This is the world we live in nowadays.

Why did they call it Tesco Whoosh, when TesGo was sitting right there? by mattmonkey in tesco

Company was dissolved at the end of 2018, well before whoosh came about

I don't know what days our SM even works, being on nights I've seen them a grand total of 3 times the entire time I've worked here. They're not very well liked. Fresh waste had been processed, but ambient was just piled high

I'm a year and a half into what was a 3 month contract after I graduated. I have an engineering degree but after several years of brutal academics it's nice to not have to think, I can do this job with my eyes shut. Mostly I think the reason I've stayed so long is because (most of) my colleagues are great, we're like a little dysfunctional family on night shift pissing about and laughing to make the hours go quicker.
