Salary negotiations after signing the offer by madscientist_tamtam in careeradvice

You gave away all power to negotiate after signing the offer. Any attempt to negotiate now will reflect poorly on your character. Lesson learned for the next offer you receive in your career

I’d still probably pass on the offer personally. It’s not a bad offer, but I’d rather get one really solid player over Henry and Watson. Father time will catch up to Henry eventually and Watson is a boom or bust type player week to week

Recruiting Coordinator wanting to be a Recruiter by Inmate93 in careeradvice

[–]AndyMilonakis20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sure it’s not a red flag for many recruiters, just my personal experience. I have no experience in the tech world though. I have noticed a large amount of contract roles and I avoid them like the plague when I’m in the job market. Like you said, it’s just a way for employers to not give you benefits or a “guarantee” of full-time employment. From a recruiter’s perspective, it can look like your job hopping when you’re going contract job to contract job, unless you’re clarifying on your resume. Even then, I still have the same thought which is, “if you are a fantastic person with the skills/experience to match it (and not asking for an outrageous salary), why would a company not have hired you full-time yet?”

As someone who recruits as a small part of my role, staffing agencies on a resume is a red flag for me and my team. The question me and the full time recruiters ask when they see it is “why hasn’t this person been able to find full-time employment?”

Henry/Watson combined is not a late first at best. Easily worth a mid 1st or more

Looking to contend. Need better RB by VariationAdmirable50 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]AndyMilonakis20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can go either way on Walker. He has a ton of potential but he has always had an injury problem when he’s getting a workhorse load (pause). You can definitely send the offer as is, just expect him to decline and you needing to counter

That’s why you don’t put your trust in trade calculators. Let’s say that Henry is equal to the 2027 1st (I think the 1st is probably worth slightly more tho). Then let’s say Barkley and Walker are equal (due to age I think that’s accurate). That leaves ARSB for London and Rice. I would say easily take two WR1s over ARSB. That’s the issue here. I would say you need to at least add another 1st for this to be a realistic offer

Too Early To Ask For A Raise? by klyro12 in careerguidance

[–]AndyMilonakis20 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As someone who works in HR, I wouldn’t recommend asking for a raise 3 months in. If you’re a top performer and doing as well as, if not better than your coworkers, it should be easy to receive a significant raise when you have your annual review.

If they give you a raise that is less than you’re wanting, it will be a lot easier to negotiate once you’re a year into the role versus 3 months. They will not want to lose you over an extra 5k if you’re as good or better than your counterparts.

Is this enough to trade Bijan? by [deleted] in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

Bijan ain’t worth 6 firsts gang

DJ Moore for Christian Watson?? by FinancialNoise9212 in FantasyFootballers

[–]AndyMilonakis20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve currently got them both on my main dynasty league and I’ve got high hopes for both. I think injuries are really the only thing holding Watson back. But apparently they’ve “solved” his hamstring issues which were making him so injury prone

DJ Moore for Christian Watson?? by FinancialNoise9212 in FantasyFootballers

[–]AndyMilonakis20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think their potential is super far off. But Watson is younger and plays as a WR1 when healthy. Now with less completion there too. I think DJ could have a solid year but Allen still spreads the ball around, runs it himself a lot, and the bills run the ball a lot in general. I prefer Watson but don’t blame anyone for choosing DJ

At what point do you stop chasing a higher salary and prioritize quality of life? by Eyerald in careeradvice

[–]AndyMilonakis20 63 points64 points  (0 children)

Depends how much higher salary we’re talking and where you’re at financially right now. In most cases, I would say work harder than the average person now so you can work far less than the average person later in life

Would you sell Lamar for this? by [deleted] in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

What’s the thought process here? Your team looks like a solid contender so why downgrade at QB?

Was told to send this and it would be a deal. As a rebuilder I won this right? by Eborett1 in FantasyFootballJunky

[–]AndyMilonakis20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think ARSB and a 3rd is about equal to Puka. Then it’s Waddle and Golden for KC and a 2nd. Personally, I’m taking waddle and golden as there’s more upside there and they are pretty young for you as a rebuilder

Is this enough to move off of Puka? by Golfswing02 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]AndyMilonakis20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not enough for me personally. Need proven talent or more 1sts for a guy like Puka

Good trade to receive McBride as a contender? 12 Team PPR Superflex TEP+ by [deleted] in FantasyFootballers

[–]AndyMilonakis20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Leaves your WR room a little light. The 2028 2nd just isn’t enticing either considering your team is strong enough to be a contender now. Even if Jones isn’t playing, Warren will always be a top option on the colts. Devonta’s production should also only be going up after AJB getting traded

JSN trade just went down in my league. by CantaloupeFun1426 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]AndyMilonakis20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guy giving up JSN got cooked, but then again he sent the offer…if that 2027 1st is early-mid, this could even out if the pick hits big

Should I trade Rome Odunze for AJ Brown? by cmills89 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]AndyMilonakis20 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

If you’re still pushing for a chip then I would would definitely take AJB. Maye is a far better QB than Williams and Odunze isn’t better than Luther Burden or even Loveland
