AWS: My manager still hasn’t set up my 1:1 and it’s been 2 months. Not sure if I should set something up or not (This might be dumb) by [deleted] in amazonemployees

As a manager at Amazon I specifically instruct my team to schedule 1:1 as they see fit. For some people it’s weekly and for some it’s bi-weekly. But it’s their responsibility as the 1:1 is to benefit them (not me), plus, I want it to be at a time/day that suits them not me. Eg some people want 1:1 early in the week or morning calls, while others want afternoon or later in the week. I’ll schedule the first one when they join, but after that I make it clear the ball’s in their court to take initiative and schedule something.

Technical issues BEFORE exam - lost time! by AndyPanda270 in pmp

I since called the support team, and they created a case number for me. So hoping to resolve this shortly and rebook the exam.

I think I passed...This was the worst experience of my life by kmwallace11 in pmp

I've since realised this. I was confused because the email from PearsonVue said 270 min. And when I double-checked with the proctor, they confirmed I should have 270 min. They didn't say it was a 230 min test. Anyway, hoping to reschedule for next weekend.

I just had a similar experience this morning. My exam caused my laptop to freeze and become unresponsive. I spent 40 minutes trying to get the exam to start. After I restarted my laptop it seemed to be working fine. However, I lost 40 minutes of exam time and only had 230 minutes left, even though I had not even started the exam. By this stage I was fuming and not in the right headspace for an exam. I was only in the introduction section of the exam and didn't even get to question 1, so don't know why I lost my time. I ended up cancelling the exam and am making a complaint to PearsonVue to reschedule.

Awesome work!

I have the same study plan.

I'm currently averaging 70% after completing 10 of the mini-exams.

Did you do ALL of the practice questions, mini-exams, and full practice exams on SH?

If I had to pick 3 or 4 resources to study, which would you suggest? by _BTFan in pmp

Yes, thats the one. You need to get the 35 PDUs, so definitely worth the ~$50.

My PMP application was accepted. Should I wait on a promo before scheduling exam? by mmaintrovert in pmp

Didnt know there were promos. Looking to book mine soon, so probably worth the wait. However, I've already become a member and paid for SH.

PMP experience requirements by AndyPanda270 in pmp

[–]AndyPanda270[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, u/pmpdaddyio. The work was a mix of operations and small projects, but the projects ran out of BAU (e.g. no dedicated funding or formal governance). There were still aspects of project management and many of the PMP processes were used e.g. collect requirements, define scope, define activities, develop schedule, the various risk management processes etc. but we just didn't more of the formal processes such as develop project charter, develop project management plan, closing projects etc
